Question about Soyo KT600 Dragon Plus Motherboard
I have a KT600 Dragon plus motherboard by Soyo and have just installed a new LG dvd burner and the system wont recognize it. I havve all other peripheals onmy other drive is a dvd/cd on ide cable. This LG is SATA so I plugged into the sata1 port on the motherboard. Installed sata drivers from motherboard disk and no drive in the hardware list except the IDE drive and HD. Can anyone help please
This burner has some type of virtual software built into the drive called "Bluebirds". Bluebirds is advertisement linked to the LG website to get you to buy more LG products. If you choose not to install the software you will be prompted to install it every time you close the drive door. If you install it you get the tray icons pointing to more LG products. If you remove it from the startup it adds itself back to the startup every time you close the drive door.
