turn off the notebook and press and hold the power button of the notebook for 10-15 secs and after that try to restart the notebook and see .

Same problem with my sons 96640 In at Medion now waiting for supplies of new motherboard to come in-from what I have read elsewhere the graphics chip causes the same problem on other laptops, not just medion

for how long have had the system?every new system comes with a warranty...so i suggest,with your proof of purchase in hand take it back.

The flickering light may be due to.

• Malfunctioning of SMPS of the adapter.Or we ca say that the adapter is not working fine.
• Or the connector is damaged and not properly attached to the mother board.
• Or it can be just LED not working fine

Sounds like you may have a bad LCD backlight or inverter. When the screen is dark, take it into a dark area and see if you can see the screen dimly showing. Or, shine a flash light on the screen and see if you can make out anything showing up.
Try this and let me know what you find.
