Windows 8 error code 0xc000000e

Hi I have this error code 0xc000000e windows 8, You get three options,
1. Enter to retry
2. Press F8 for start up settings
3. press F9 for to use a different operation system.
First two options do nothing, F9 will restart computer, and the I can boot from the boot disk. I have tried to rebuild the startup files, from the disk nothing is working. I can't get into the Safe mode. Guess only option is save all files to a back up HDD, I even tried to restore to a past date.

No lights on cd/dvd

the part you are missing is going into your computer's bios to change the boot sequence to CD/DVD first so that it would read the dvd. The current setting is probably network since you are seeing the PXE failure

This is a hard drive issue, remove hardware and reseat it back into place, sometimes this will work and run fine. But it is more than likely your hard drive will need to be replaced.

My Windows 7 won't start

Restart your computer
During the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup

Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS using the arrow keys load failsafe defaults or load optimized defaults press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart if this fails to fix the problem

During the boot process tap the f8 button three times this will boot into safe mode where the only things working will be your mouse and keyboard enabling you to attempt to repair your computer

you could select the option start at last known configuration that worked this will tell what file has been corrupted or missing you might be able to work your way through problem if you are unable to find a solution

restart back into safe mode you might need to select your operating system to load into safe mode

click start control panel administration tools computer management in the left panel events + to expand then system you will see all errors in right panel right click select properties this will tell you what has occurred and the time it occurred

you might use the system restore to restore your system to an earlier time
click start all programs accessories system tools you should see your system restore option

hope this helps you

I have had this laptop for about 6 months. i got multiple viruses several times and i was able to clean them off. yesterday, my internet was running really slow so i disconected, and reconnected, and when...

Reboot with your vista disc and when it loads the windows files it will ask you what you want to do, choose repair and let windows search the operating system for errors, if it finds them it will attempt a repair. If it does not find any errors or cannot repair, it will give you other choices, choose system restore and go back over a week or two. Just look at the bottom of the window and it will allow you to pick restore times older than 5 days. Let system restore run and see if that takes care of the problem. If you recover from this. Install Avast anti-virus 4.1, get MalwareBytes Malware remover, and get Threatfire web page monitor. Run those three and you'll be as safe as you can for running free programs....just remember the anti-virus is only as good as the doorman, if you open the door and let it in....it will come in....be careful out there.
