Question about Cuisinart Coffeemakers
My Cuisinart DCC 490 coffee maker wouldn't turn on in either normal or programmable mode. It would let me program the timer and the auto off, but it wouldn't do anything when I turned the knobs the other way. No lights, no beeping, nothing. Finally decided to take the electronics panel off and once it was apart I could get the on/off to work. But when I put it back together it stops working. I've got it working (kinda) now by putting the panel back on but not screwing the circuit board in tight. Of course, this means that there is not enough contact with the buttons to set the time, grind off, etc. It seems that tightening everything back down is causing some sort of pinch/short circuit, etc. The thing works, but I have a really fancy, unprogrammable coffee maker that always grinds. Less than ideal. Anyone run into this and have any suggestions?
