Question about Hunter 28096 Westminster 52" Ceiling Fan with Light
They used to be a premium brand. Not anymore. I purchased 2 of the same model and tried to install them in two different rooms.
Hunter Five Minute Fan New Bronze Model 23723. Same exact issue I rewired them both 3 times and still a 1-2 second delay for the light. Replaced them with cheaper Harbor Bay ceiling fans and absolutely no issue. I will never buy a Hunter product again.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Here is the answer I received from Hunter Technical Support.
"The light fixtures are manufactured with a limiter that prevents a higher than recommended wattage bulb from working. The limiter causes the slight delay even when the correct bulbs are is in use."
Pretty annoying if you ask me.

Many times this is caused by stray frequencies in the neighborhood. And, sometimes changing the frequencies on the remote and receiver reduce the occurrence.
But it sounds like this may not be the case, here. If not, the receiver in the fan is the culprit and should be replaced. No danger, just annoying.

the reciever is under the cover for your fan to the ceiling. Try pulling the switches on you fan then using the remote after each try. then check your wall switches,,, it could be wired to one.

Could be a loose wire up inside the fan. I would be very careful in its use. Might I suggest getting an electrician in to resolve this issue. You do not want to battle a fire over a fan light issue.

You should be able to pick these up at Lowes if I'm not mistaken. I just bought a Harbor Breeze ceiling fan from there and saw the light kits around the same area. I also believe that, you dont necessarily have to get a Harbor Breeze light kit and that some are interchangeable.Hope this helps some.
