SOURCE: keyboard letters are typing different letters

It sounds like you're in a word-processing or text-editing application, and have selected a Symbol font. Change to another font (like Arial) and it should clear-up.

What version of windows are you on?
if you dont know go to
start -> run (or press winkey + R)
type in winver & press enter
post the version here
in most cases you will find the keyboard settings you want under region & language settings in the control pannel
SOURCE: how do you access the extra symbols on some of the
maybe is for another language. click alt + shift to switch between languages. to acces the second symbol on a key press shift + the key.

If you are using Microsoft word, better you can insert symbols, goto insert then click on symbols from there you can select your choice of symbols. if you don't want to try Microsoft word, then press Function Key.

You hold down the "Maser" RED or BLUE keys, down bottom left, with red & blue circle etc on the master key.and "Tap" the corresponding Blue key, to access the "Function" under that Key.
