Partial Loss All icons appear on I-phone screen, but apps won't load, e.g., USA Today, Pandoas, Classic Books. Bloomberg.. I have rebooted but this hasn't helped. Hep Please

download a jailbreaker ziphonewin-2.5c. exe and it will unlock and jailbreak your phone

SOURCE: 3G Iphone froze at Apple Screen, no way to restart it or sync it

I had the similar problem. Found this suggestion on the web to reset iPhone 3G to it's original settings. You may have to restore your media and data files after resetting. It's the only way out for me since I can't get beyond the "Apple Logo" thingy, and I am too lazy to bring it down to the Apple Store.

Try this:
1.) Shut down the iPhone 3G.
2.) Start up iTunes
3.) Hold down HOME button on the iPhone 3G
4.) While keeping the HOME button depressed, plug in the Sync cable
5.) A message will pop up to ask if you want to reset.
6.) Just click YES and the reset process should start.

See the following suggestions from Apple:

1 Try restarting iPhone. To turn it off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

2 Try pressing and holding the Home button for at least 6 seconds to close a frozen application. Then try restarting iPhone following the steps outlined above.

3 To reset iPhone, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds. During this time, a red "power off" slider may appear and the screen may go black, but do not release Sleep/Wake and Home buttons until the Apple logo appears.

If the 3 steps above did not solve the problem , then the Iphone is probably faulty , take it to a Apple repair shop, or call Apple service phone number listed on the user guide.

I had free problem ,  what I did was 
turn iphone off the at same time press and hold both the home button and on off button down until apple logo appears then wait till slide phone to on comes up.
fixed it

Hello Janine,

If you removed the icon from your home screen, you can simply add it again from the app drawer (blue square icon with 4 white squares in it). The "market" has been updated to "Google Play" and the icon has changed so just look for the new app because the old icon most likely has been replaced.

If you have neither icon in your app drawer, you can download the Google Play app again on your computer. You can go to and click on "Play" at the top of the screen. This is the same market as you had on your phone and and you can download and install apps to your phone from your computer.

My tapNpop sound quit on me. I have checked and the sound is on. I updated my ipad software and synced with the computer. Still no luck. I thought I might re download the app but at the app site that...

The app site will not allow a redownload if you have the app currently installed. To reinstall the app, you first need to delete the app from your iPad. Instead of clicking the icon, hold your finger down on the icon. All your icons should then appear to be shaking, and have an "x" on the top corner. Touch the "x" to delete the app, and confirm the action. Re install the app. FIRST, you may want to power down your device by holding the power button down until the shutdown screen appears. You may also just have too many apps open in the background. To shut background apps, click on the home button. Your open apps will appear at the bottom of the screen. Hold down one of the icons, and when the "x" appears at the tip corner of the icon, press it to shut down apps and free up memory! Good luck!

A icon just appeared on my screen that says phones

You may have accidently put an app icon to home scree. You can delete it by press and holding the icon. A trash icon will appear at the buttom of the screen. Drag the icon to the rash icon and you are done.
It wont delete anything. It will just remove the icon from home screen.
Also, to add any other icon on the home screen, go to menu, press and hold the desired app icon and it will be on the home screen.

Have an iPhone and since today my screen moves slightly side to side and up and down. When I press an icon the screen goes back to normal and when the icon is open the problem is back. Did not drop it or...

What I would do is get an appointment with an apple genius at an apple store near you. You can download the Apple Store app to set an appointment or visit I have had great success with iPhone issues in the past with them.

When i try to open bloomy on my ipad it loads then closes everytime, i cant use it why is this ?

Make sure you are on the latest iOS version. (Update on iTunes if necessary) A reboot of the device also helps sometimes.

Hi! We first installed Bloomberg on our iPad about a month ago. Last week, it seemed to disappear! The Icon was still there, but as soon as we clicked on it, it went to the Bloomberg page (ie with Mystocks...

I have the same problem, suspect it happen after I installed bloom berg anywhere. When I run bloom berg anyway, it prompt your device is jailbreak and cannot be trusted to run securely, after that the bllomberg for iPad does not load anymore.

I'v deleted app icons on h/scrn. Help me get them back.

1 of 2 things could be happening with your device.

1. Your icons are hidden from view on your homescreen.
To "show all" icons on your homescreen do as follows.

From the home screen push the button that looks like the 'Blackberry Logo' and then check 'Show All" from the Menu

2. The Service books are failing to send to the device. The service books for Blackberrys control everything for the internet browser to Email delivery. So in the upper right hand corner of your device it should show something like the following. 1xev or ra ... something along those lines. If they are lowercase, that means your device is not receiving its service books like planned. If they are upper case 1XEV or RA or so on etc. Then you are receiving your books.

What to do in order to get your books back. Go to Options ---> Advanced Options ---> Host Routing Tables ---> Click the Button with the blackberry symbol ---> Select Register Now.
This should get your blackberry back on track.

Note: When you do this allow 5mins of uninterrupted time for the black berry to send recieve data and restore your service books.. Interrupting it may lead to troulbes. Try not to touch many buttons during the loading process.

The last row of icons on my iphone won;t work. Help....

The last row of icons which is the bottom row with Phone iPod etc?
It sounds as though your digitizer is bad, the iphone digitizer is delicate and seems often goes bad.
does your unlock screen work?
the bottom off the screen handles the unlock and bottom icons.
if your unlock switch works then you may just have a software problem going on.
reboot your phone by pressing and holding the power and home buttons until the apple appears.
when it reboots see if it works properly, if not you may have a bad digitizer.
is your iphone a 2G or a 3G?

Cydia won't load

You need a program like iphonebrowser or ssh with winscp.

Go to /private/var/lib/apt/lists
and delete all the files in /root/private/var/lib/apt/lists/ except for the partial subfolder. Do not delete Partial folder. Reboot phone and restart cydia and it should work just fine.
