Hp compaq le1711 too dark with image troubleshooting

Enter BIOS at start up. Before the OS starts. F2 I think.

Check monitor is set to correct input (VGA, DVI, HDMI) if it goes to sleep instantly.


Otherwise screen resolution is set too high. Boot into safe mode by pressing F8 during boot. Login and lower screen resolution.

Has the laptop been "downgraded" from Vista to WindowsXP? That's a different problem, but there's a solutions page for that one too -- try here.

start computer when you see the compaq logo press F8 select safemode with networking. go to

click on software and drivers , select what operating system you have, download graphics/ video driver.

Can you see any image on the screen in a dark room, using a flashlight sometimes helps. An image will be most visible right after you turn the laptop on, when the logo appears. If you can see the image but it is dark you need a new probably backlight inverter which is a relatively easy and cheap repair - I usually charge less than $50. JC Hunter

I understand that your Notebook is not showing the display lights. To isolate the issue please do the following troubleshooting steps.

1) Check the display with external monitor. If the external monitor is showing the display then the problem is with the LCD screen. If the external monitor is not showing the display then the problem is with the display card.

2) If you have any torch light or a cell phone , try focusing the light on the LCD screen after the Notebook is powered on and check whether you are able to see the texts and images on the LCD. If you are able to see the images and texts then it is the problem of the LCD back-lights. The lights which glow at the back of the LCD panel are not working.

If your Notebook is under warranty HP will repair it free of cost.

The back light is bad in your monitor. This is the light source that gives light to the image on your screen so that you can see it. This is a common thing to go wrong with a laptop. You can take it to someone to be repaired or if you are handy you can buy the part and replace it yourself.

WELL I WOULD LIK TO SUGGEST U TO PLEASE RE-INSTALL YOUR GRAPHIC CARD'S DRIVER AND HAVE A LOOK.
