Service required E527

I accidentally force moved the toner carousel when i tried to remove a stuck toner cartridge. removing toners and PCU did not help. error persists. i guess the the carousel is misaligned and it needs to be reset. i checked the epson service manual but it's too cryptic. any idea how to fix this?

Thanks, I will give it a try. Around here I am probably the most experienced person to fix a printer like this (which does not account for a lot in rural Ireland)..

Thanks, that worked great. However, now I cannot complete the toner cartridge installation because everytime I insert the Y toner I get the message: "photoconductr. trouble" I have tried it several times but it just wont accept the cartridge.

E527 indicates a developer home position error. With the front cover closed you should be able to freely rotate the cartridge "carousel" from the top with the PCU removed. If it does not rotate smoothly then something is broken and the printer will require stripping completely and the broken parts replaced. If this is the case then it is unlikely to be economically repairable. If the carousel does rotate freely however, then it is one of the following: Either the MCU (engine) Board itself is faulty, there is a wiring fault or the Sensor Rotary Home Position is faulty/dirty. The sensor is the first and most obvious thing to check but it requires taking off the L/H cover and removing the Low/High Voltage power supply board to get at it. I would recommend getting someone experienced at repairing printers to do this, but if you really want to give it a go then follow this link;

The printer is giving me service error E527 what can be done to overcome this error

Hi Good day!!!

This error message "Service Req E527" means that the toner carousel housing the toner cartridges is obstructed, or is unable to rotate correctly. It can be caused by installing a toner cartridge incorrectly.

Solution 1:Check that the toner cartridge at the front of the printer is installed correctly.

Solution 2: Manually remove all of the toner cartridges.
Close all the covers, and then power the printer off.Open Cover B, and then remove the photo conductor unit (PCU).Turn the toner carousel by hand to line up a toner cartridge with the front of the printer.Open Cover A.If the toner cartridge is not in position to remove it, close Cover A and repeat the steps above.Remove the toner cartridge, and then close Cover A.Repeat all the steps above until you have removed all four toner cartridges.Reinstall the PCU.Close all the covers, and then power on the printer.Open Cover A and Cover B.Check thoroughly for any jammed paper, foreign objects or damaged parts. If you can locate an obstruction, remove it. Then, close all the covers and restart the printer again. If you can identify any damaged parts, there is an obstruction you cannot remove, or there is no change after restarting the printer, then contact Epson for further advice.Reinstall the toner cartridges (Follow the prompts on the LCD display), and then test the printer.

Cartridge jam carrousel blocked service req E527

Open the top cover, lift the orange PCU lever and lift out the PCU using the handle. With the front cover closed you should be able to rotate the Toner cartridge "carousel". If not then find and remove the blockage. If it does rotate then it is a sensor problem which involves stripping down the printer. I have helped with this problem before, just follow this link

Epson Acculaser CX11NF Error 'Service Req E527'

Hi.. To fix the E527 error, close the front panel (cover A) and open the top cover (cover B). With the photoconductor unit removed, the toner carousel will rotate. It only rotates if cover A is closed all the way. You can easily rotate the carousel to a position where you can remove/reinstall the toner cartridge if stuck.

Thanks

Service req E527 error

Try this (as per Epson Tech Support): To fix the E527 error, close the front panel (cover A) and open the top cover (cover B). With the photoconductor unit removed (as you have already), the toner carousel will rotate. It only rotates if cover A is closed all the way. You can easily rotate the carousel to a position where you can remove/reinstall a stuck toner cartrdige.

I hope this works for you. Let me know please!

Error Code 004-332

I tried this solution but wasn't quite sure how it's possible.
"Pull out the drum. Open the front door. Then close back this door then at the same time, move
the carousel around back or forth. The carousel now is able to be free to rotate. During rotating
you try to pull out the catridge. If it is locked, then adjust it to the position to be free."

Instead i pulled out the drum unit and pushed down with a bit of force on the toner carousel. I heard the gears grind which didn't sound real pleasant but the error went away. Instead I received an error message this time to remove and reseat the Cyan toner. Tried this multiple times w/o luck so i replaced the Cyan toner and it freed it up. Now I'm getting a paper jam message but there is no jam. Stuck again but making progress...

Fatal Error 17H - toner cartridges will not advance

Open the front door and remove the toner bottle.

Look near the colour toner carts and you will see a small round hole. Jam a screwdriver in that hole and the carousel will rotate freely. Move the carousel round and remove each toner one at a time.
