Go into safe mode and log in with the administrators account, sounds like your user profile has gotten corrupted. you will be able to access your files, back them up, and then create a new user..if you feel really brave, you might also go into documents and settings(if this is XP) and copy things like favorites into the new user profile

Sounds like you have a rogue startup program or it has a virus/spyware.Sometimes a faulty HDD with bad sectors will not load the OS but up to the point where the bad sector is located. You can either try using an HDD regenerator or go into the OS in safe mode and get rid of some of its unneeded startup programs and run your virus or spyware software. Also if you can get into your OS remove the password because a virus or spyware can effect your logon by corrupting your sam file folder or even changing essential WINDOWS files. You could take the HDD out of your laptop put it in an external inclosure connect it to another PC to retrieve the files you want to keep.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

My computer will not load past loading your personal settings what can i do

Hi,
There could be two possible reasons for the same
1. There is a windows update that is installing in the background
2. The user profile has got corrupted

To check what the problem is , restart the computer and before the windows screen appears , tap on the F8 key multiple times and select safe mode and hit enter. Select the user name and see if the system goes into windows . If yes , try system restore. If no, the windows OS may need to be repaired .

When i start my laptop it shows the dell loading screen then goes to a black screen where you can start windows normaly or go into safe mode. when you click on start windows normaly it goes to the windows...

You may need to reload windows on the hard drive. However try this first: reboot the system. Tap F8 to get to the system menu. Go to Safe mode and see if windows will load from there. If it does- try System restore to a point before the looping issue started. If it still loops, tap F12 at the Dell screen, and select the image to restore the system (reload to factory default). If you do not have that option, you will need the install media that came with your Laptop to reinstall the operating system entirely. If you do not have the drivers disk for your system- you will need to go to Support.Dell.com, enter in the service tag of your system, and download the drivers for your system.

Good luck! Also, as a reminder: Use your burner or an external hard-drive to backup your college work. Nothing makes you hate life more than having to retype a 20page paper from your edited rough draft and outline due to a system crash or virus! (personal experience. History paper.)

Inability to load personal profile

Make sure Windows has been activated. If so, try to create another profile with Admin privileges. Is the computer infected with a virus. Some viruses, spyware or malware will deny access to your profile. Have a professional Computer tech try to scan for viruses.

Blue screen on Laptop

I'm not going to state this is going to cure your problem, but here are some things you may wish to try;

1.Remove the AC adapter if plugged in. Remove the Battery.
Open the Memory Compartment door, and remove it.
Take the ram memory module, (Stick), out. If you have more than one, remove them both.
Now reinstall them/it. Reinstall the Memory Compartment door.

2.Remove the Harddrive Compartment door. Make sure the harddrive is plugged in tight. If you look, there is a rectangular shaped part on one side, in this compartment, that the harddrive plugs into.
This is a connector. (Actual name is Interface)

Push the back, (Opposite side of the connector), of the harddrive, to assure that it is fully seated in the connector.
Reinstall the Harddrive Compartment door.

Reinstall the Battery. Plug the AC adapter back into the laptop. Plug the AC adapter, (Charger), into the surge protector.

(Advise always unplug the AC adapter from the surge protector first, then from the laptop. If you do not, there is a chance of a voltage spike)

WAIT 1 minute, then turn on the laptop.

The Ram Memory can become unseated very easily.
The Harddrive has a metal frame around it, and the frame is attached to the main body of the laptop, with a scre-w, or scre-ws.
Still may be a chance, that the harddrive can become partially unplugged from it's connector.

Stuck on "loading your personal settings..." screen.

try booting to the SAFE MODE (F8 at boot) and see if you can log in to the ADMIN account from the safe mode. If you can, then create a new user profile, then reboot to normal mode and try booting to the NEW profile. If that works, then the old profile is likely corrupt
