SOURCE: Screen resolution not available on Display menu

The 1920x1080 resolution has to have two things.

First, make sure you download the latest driver from Samsung Support site. I have the T240, and love the extra high resolution, but you have to have the driver installed.

Also, to get the resolution, your graphics card in the computer has to support the high resolution. You need to check the graphics card Mfg's website, and download and install the latest driver.

That should get you up and running, as long as the graphics card supports that high. Some of the older ones might not.

SOURCE: DVR won't set a timer to record a show

I have never encountered this but if you have enabled the standby and it still does not work you will need a new receiver. The feature was to enable a screen saver so that televisions screens would not be etched if it were left on and you fell asleep. My suspicion is that the DVR hard drive is corrupt giving you this false message.
Thanks for using Fix Ya.

SOURCE: sCREEN RESOLUTION RESET

When Setting The Screen Resolution There is a 30 second wait period where you have to click ok for the setting to take permanent effect. If you could not see anything it should have returned to normal within the time limit and or is not saved and can be returned to normal by reseting the computer via the power button.
Hope This Helps.
Sincerely,
Michael Scott

SOURCE: My H.264 Network DVR resolutions are not compatible with mt Monitor. How do I reset the resolutions manually ?

You may be lucky because the battery acid may not have gone beyond the contacts in the battery chamber: open battery chamber and clean out especially at the bottom of the chamber and blow out any loose stuff when you finished cleaning ( use pencil erazor or something similar , but do not use sand paper or anything that will damage chrome plating of the contacts ; you do not want corrosion at later stage ).

Onkyo sr875. receiver menu is showing on the tv, other than that it's a blue screen.

If the menu is showing on the TV but the rest of the display is a blue screen, it could indicate a problem with the video output or the connection between the Onkyo SR875 receiver and the TV. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:
  1. Check the connection: Make sure that the connections between the receiver and the TV are secure and that the cables are not loose or damaged.
  2. Check the video settings: Make sure that the receiver and the TV are configured to use the correct video input and output settings. You may need to check the manual for your TV and receiver for instructions on how to do this.
  3. Check the TV display settings: Make sure that the TV display settings are configured correctly. Check the TV manual for instructions on how to adjust the display settings.
  4. Check the resolution: Make sure that the resolution of the TV and the receiver match. If the resolution of the TV is set higher than the resolution of the receiver, it can cause a blue screen to appear.
  5. Power cycle the device: Unplug the power cord of the receiver and the TV and wait for a few minutes before plugging it back in.
  6. Factory reset: If none of the above steps work, you can try performing a factory reset on the receiver. This will erase all the configurations and settings and will set the device to its original state. Check the user manual or contact the manufacturer for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
  7. Contact support: if none of the above

Cant access menu on defender sn301-8ch

Some things to Try:

Installer Master Code 1397 Selecting this accesses the Main menu. If the menu is locked, you may need to unlock first. To unlock the menu: Select the area the password will be typed and a digital number pad will appear. Type in the password. The default password is 123456. Once you have typed in the password, press the enter button to close the digital number pad. Click "APPLY," if the password is correct the main menu will open. Unlock Menu Prompt Password Setup This menu selection allows you to change the device ID, enable password protection as well as set a new password for users and admin on your DVR. When you enable password protection, you will be prompted to insert a password each time you wish to access the main menu. The DVR will automatically log the user of admin out after 60 seconds. To Change the Device ID: 1. Select the box next to "device ID" and a keyboard will appear. 2. Type the name you would like then select enter to close the keyboard. 3. Select "apply" to save your changes. To Enable Password Protection: 1. Select the scroll bar next to "password enable" and list will appear. 2. Highlight and select "On" to turn the password enable on. 3. Select "apply" to save your changes. To Change the Password You have the option to change the password for user and admin. A user will only be able to access the search menu to view saved footage, whereas an admin will be able to access anything in the menu. Both default passwords are set to 123456. 1. Make sure password enable is set to "ON". 2. Select the ****** box next to the password you would like to change and a keyboard will appear. 3. Type the password you would like then select enter to close the keyboard. 4. Press "Menu" and highlight "Next" to confirm. 5. Type in the same password again, next to "confirm" in order to confirm the password then select enter to close the keyboard. 6. Once you have entered the desired password, select "apply" to save your changes close the keyboard.
HOPE THIS HELPS!~

Hi,
Please reboot the machine. After it beeps hit F8 repeatedly. You'll get
a menu. One menu item will be "vga mode". Choose that, and use
the control panel to A) set 800x600, boot normally
or B) try setting your normal mode. Hope this helps even a bit.
