Vizio logo does not light up amber when plugged in but turns white when power button is pressed. no picture or sound. Big Transformer on power board makes a light buz sound when plugged in also.

1. When the TV powered up, please measure the 24V, 12V & 5V are there, if one voltage is missing, you may have a defective power supply.

2. If the power supply lost the 24V source, you may unplug the power supply connector on both the inverter board, then power it up, if you got the 24V back, you do have a defective inverter board, you may unplug them one at a time to locate the bad one.

3. If the power supply & inverters are good, you may have a defective main board. The common problem on the main board is that a voltage regulator is bad, you may use your millimeter to measure them 1 x 1. The out put voltage (on the heat sync) should be 1.25V + the control voltage (Pin 1), for example: if the control pin voltage is 0, the output voltage should be 1.25V, if the control voltage is 2.05V, the output voltage should be 3.3V, if one of them is out of range, replace it, you may find the part from Digikey Co. The part number printed on the regulator is AMC1117.

Good luck!

Mlt169b no power supply output

look for damaged parts including filter caps and if no output which voltages are missing or low? The outputs of the supply will be able to be measured for a specific voltage/s.

Power Supply Issue - Green LED ON..no power up

tried to disconnected the 24v supply connectors going to the power inverter board which may the cause of voltage drop. after you disconnect then if still no output 24v dc coming from the power supply board the cause will be bad power supply board. check for an open resistance or bad regulators going to the 24vdc out. by the way you should connect all the connectors going to the main board to turn on the processor and the inv_on voltage going to the inverter board.

Power but no picture

you need to check weather the power supply has complete output dc voltages 5v stand by, 5v detect 12v-16v for audio and tuner and 24v for back light. if just only an stand by voltage, the cause is either the power supply failed or the main board detect an error in the inverter board .

Power light is blinking and the tv won't power up.

In that case the problem of your television is the power supply. The power supply have low voltage output so that the board of your TV cannot drive,so that the TV wont turn on.The power supply have leak capacitor that may cause of abnormal voltage. The output voltage of the power supply is +5V, +12V, and +24V.So the power supply is the problem its need to repair. Thanks

There is to much red in the picture and another thing the peoples faces look distorted

You first much check your power supply for the proper output of voltages. EX: 12v 5v 24v etc. These values are stamped on the power supply themselves. After that, if you have one that is reading low you will need to trace the capacitors in-line with the lower value to replace the capacitors. EX: 1000uF 10v ----> 1000uF 35v replacement should be followed. After that is repaired check your mainboard (AKA tuner board) for the correct supply voltage. If this corrects the issue the powersupply was faulty. If the issue persists, you will need a mainboard replacement as well.

Hope this helps, please rate :)

When plugged in, the logo flashes white. Everything else is dead. Checked 5v, 12v, 24v outputs on power supply--only the 5v showed power. Larry

It is probably the capacitors on the power supply. Check them. I think there are 3 in a row. They are red in color and 450W. There is also a larger one next to them but I do not remember the volts.

My ilo 27inch t.v. won't come out of standby mode.

the first thing you need to do is to check whether your power supply is working well.to do this, you need to open the back cover of your tv ..you can immediately reach the power supply.test the power output using a multitester.there must be an output of 5v,12v,and24v.24 v is for the screen to lit up..5v is for the the cpu supply..12v is for the audio...You can repair the power supply if it is not functioning or buy a new power supply..to repair the power supply repace the regulator transistor, the opto isolator, the ic that gives the signal to the opto isolator and check for open resistor near the regulators..hope this could help.goodluck!!

Fuse and power supply look ok to the eye slight static sound on audio tiny flash intermitent inright corner on video, any clues? power diods check good ,nothing looks hot or burnt There is a second board...

Your power supply on the dc output should have the floowing DC voltages, 5v, 12v, and 24v. Just start probing the connectors of the power supply. 24v is needed for the backlights inverter board, 12v for sounds, 5v for logic board.
