To enable wireless adaptor, check for switch at sides of the laptop. There is a wireless switch which enables or disables wireless.

On some laptops, there is a function key (Fn), press Fn and F7(or F5) at the same time to enable it

My dell inspiron mini laptop used to work wireless. It doesn't work anymore. In re-installed the wireless driver and it still doesn't work. Model is inspiron 910

In Device manager, under the network adaptor are you able to see wireless adaptor for your device. - see if it not marked as disable( Red Mark or Yellow Mark)
Also check in network connection wheather you Wireless connection is in Enable or Disable mode,

I was having problems connecting to a network, somehow I hit disable and now it seems dead, I went into the icon and it says no card found, no lights nothing, how do I bring it back re- enable it

Assuming you're in Windows, Hit the start button, right-click computer/my computer, hit manage.

This will bring you to the computer management console. Open the Device Manager from the left pane.

Expand the "Network Adapters" option listed. From here, you can enable/disable your Network Card or check for up to date drivers.

My wireless WAN won't power on any more in access connections (Lenovo), It stopped working about 3 months ago.

I had to find the network adaptor in control panel then right click and Enable it. For some reason it was disabled. That's why it wouldn't power on.

Unit will not connect, getting acquiring network address.

Hi Houzeman Have you: re-started the computer         power-cycled the router, ie, unplugged unit and waited 10+ seconds, before re-connecting                 disabled the unit, then enabled it checked in Control Panel that the wireless card/ usb adaptor, is enabled; try disable/enable
before checking settings
re-input username and password
re-input security settings?

If you are using a separate modem and router, turn both off, then power-on the modem, before the router.  If you have ethernet access, and a Local Area Connection is available, use it to open a browser and type in 192.168.2.1 (assuming yours is a Belkin) and check your settings.
I use a Belkin, which is a good unit, but it can be cantankerous sometimes, dropping out, then coming back unexpectedly and without reason. Good luck NOEL

Wireless?

two suggestions, first you may need to enable it in your computers setup program. Normally you have the option just before windows starts to load, either by pressing F8 or esc will get you into the the computers main/basic setup screen. You should find the wi-fi is disabled so just a case of changing it to enable.

Secondly, within windows go to control panel then device manager, network adaptors, and you may find that your broadcom 802.11g network adaptor is disabled, you will need to enable it by using the icons at the top. If there is a problem with it then there will be a question mark beside it, then you will need to post the error message your getting for further assistance.
