Now the camera is sayin that it does not recognize the SD card

I had the same thing happen to me last year and I found a reference to company in the grocery store. Basically, I sent them the card and they were able to recover 50+ pictures. They only charged me $30. If they wouldn't have been able to recover any files, they would have sent the card back at no charge. They sent me the card back along with the recovered photos burnt onto a CD. I can't remember the name of the company off hand, I haven't needed the services since, but the contact email address is kevin@kajigga.com.
