SOURCE: water tank is suddenly filling up

look closely how the water flows from the evaporator to the tank. does it goes first to the condenser ?..or is there a heating pipe that is touching the tank in order to heat the water for it to evaporate?

here's the set up, your ac would cool and absorb moisture in the air and becomes water in the evaporator. these water is sometimes used to cool the compressor or the condenser to help it run cooler and at the same time evaporates the un-needed water . but incase the water is so much then you have the tank to keep the water from spilling. sometimes they still put some hot pipes to further heat the water to evaporate.

check those pointers that i have mention.

in some case, the air in your place just got humid and wet that is why it has too many water condensation..

SOURCE: my steamvac leaks from the clean water tank

you have either a cracked housing, or a valve is stuck open. if you can spray a small amount of wd49 into the valve, and work it a little, youmay be able to dislodge whateverdeposits have built up in there.

SOURCE: Help! Water keeps filling the tank instead of going out the hose

Had the same problem. Make sure you tighten the house a little with pliers. Also, make sure the dehumidifier is up a lot higher than where you're draining it into. Mine drains into a utility sink. But I have the dehumidifier propped up onto a dresser. I cut a small piece of hose to run into the sink. Seems to be working now.

It will take 5 min or so to establish a water flow, so be patient after you hook everything up. Good luck.

I have a 2000 Holiday Aluma Lite Travel Trailer. Having difficulty filling the water tank. There appears to be two places to hook up the hose to fill the tank. Which intake do I hook the hose up to?

There must be a water shut off valve between the tank and the water pump. One of those hook ups will be for city water that goes direct to your tap and the other inlet is to fill the on board tank. Again check for shut off valves.

Rockwood 8310 SS. Have water hose hooked up too city inlet connector but water is coming out of other side of trailer at water inlet area what is up with thisv

Check to see if you have a valve labeled for tank fill. It sounds like you have a single connection to use city water or fill your tank and it is in the tank fill position. The water you are seeing would be coming from the tank over flow.

Why is fresh water tank filling up when hooked up to city water?

Many RVs have the plumbing to fill the fresh water tank from the city water hook up. This valve is usually near the city water hook up and labeling is similar to "city water" and "tank fill". Another anomaly from leaving the valve in the "tank fill" position is that, when not connected to city water, the on board pump may run continuously and the water volume is very low.

How do we plug the fresh water so we can fill?

If this is for an RV, you have posted in the wrong section, but however, on my RV you have two different options. You can hook up a hose to shore water which gives you water but does not fill the tank, or you can uncap the fill port and use a hose into it to fill the tank. Mine does not hook up for the latter, you just hold the hose into the fill port. Filling too fast can cause blow-back.

Have hose hooked up but it does not drain. Compartment fills with water and needs dumped manually. Want the hose to work so twice-a-day dumping in basement not needed. Thanks!

You connected a hose to the hose outlet on the catch tank ... right? The tank will not drain even though there are no kinks in the hose and the end is lower than the tank, right? Did you put a hole in the tank before you attached the hose? I will bet not ... and I will not laff at you ... I did the same.

Put a hole in the tank (where the hose attaches), reattach the hose and all will be well.
