Tuning in channels. Still on MHz not digital what do I do

Please see below. I believe that you have set the tuning to LOCK, hence the KEY symbol. I have done the same thing with other radios. I bet you never forget this!

Manual Tuning with Rotary Dial You can select a higher or lower frequency by turning ROTARY TUNING. Set FAST/FINE/LOCK to select the rotary tuning increments or to lock the ROTARY TUNING dial. The following table shows the tuning increments for the FAST and FINE settings. Press "Manual", then press digit key ("0/10" thru "9") that corresponds with the channel to be changed ("0/10" = ch10). Next, press the digit and decimal point keys to enter the frequency in megahertz (Mhz) to be stored in the channel. To store 453.100 Mhz in channel 2, you would press "Manual", then "2". Press the following keys in order: "4" "5" "3" "." "1" "0" "0", followed by pressing the "Enter" key. Repeat this process for up to 10 channels.If you wish to clear unused channels, you should be able to select the channel, then enter "." followed by the "Enter" key.

This scanner will only accept frequencies between 30.000Mhz and 599.999 Mhz. Attempting to input frequencies outside this range will result in an error message.

The ERROR message usually indicates that you've tried to program a frequency outside the scanner's tuning range. The BC60XLT top tuning range is the 512 MHz band, so you cannot tune any 800 MHz frequencies. For further information you can download and print the factory manual, at no cost, here:

Sorry, but the XTN446 has only the 8 channels pre-programmed by the manufacturer.

What is the model of the TV please?

Often when using a Sky box, one doesn't use the channel tuning feature of the Polaroid HDTV. Often one connects the Sky box to a component video input, and the Sky box does the tuning.

The R2000 is a shortwave receiver, not a Police scanner, covering 100 KHz to 29.999 MHz.

There was a converter available (VC10) that connects to the back of the unit that will allow tuning between 118 MHz to 174 MHz.
