How do we connect the wireless

A bit vague, could you be more specific to your
problem. I need more information to give a
informed solution.
Do you have access to a Wireless Access Point? If so Look in the system Tray for NETWORK icon, left click to open the Available Wireless Network in range. Select yours and click on it, if you have one, type in your security key if applicable. NOTE: if you have a Wireless Access Point ALWAYS secure it with a password/security key. I have a wireless connection but cannot open the browser. Another computer (laptop) is connecting fine on the same wireless.

If the Wireless Network Connection icon is at the bottom right of your Taskbar and has a red x, then right-click on the icon to bring up a pop-up window and in that window, left-click on View Available Wireless Networks. This will open a Wireless Network Connection window which will allow you to Choose a wireless network. If the window has the message "No wireless networks were found in range", then you will need to slide the spring-loaded switch at the right-front the netbook to the right momentarily and the message "Wireless LAN Enabled" should show in large green letters at the bottom of the screen. Then in the Wireless Network Connection window, left-click on "Refresh network list" item under Network Tasks. In about 10 seconds, a list of the wireless networks will be displayed which should include the name of your wireless access point (wireless router). Left-clicking on that list item will high-light it in blue. Now click on the connect button at the bottom-right of the window. If the list item has a lock symbol, a Wireless Network Connection pop-up will now show to ask you to "Type the key" otherwise for an unsecured or open access point, a connection should automatically occur without having to type any key. The Wireless Network Connection icon in the Taskbar should no longer have the red x and hovering the mouse cursor over it will show the Wireless Network Connection status. Hopefully, if this procedure has solved your problem, you should consider securing your access point to prevent unauthorized access of it. After securing, you will need to refresh the network list and then do a re-connect.

After working for months with our att uverse system, my Dell netbook can no longer connect and I get the message "problem with wireless adaptor or access point". Other computers work on the network and...

This is basically an issue with the settings on wireless. Feature incompatibility is what i ll say. Your 2wire access point will be broadcasting a mixed wireless signal. Open the access point interface on a web browser by typing:
Go to the WIRELESS settings section.
Change the SSID to whatever you want (It should be 1 word with no spaces).
Change the wireless mode to 802.11g only.
Change the wireless channel to 1, 6 or 11 (any of these).
Finally, it would be preferred if you set your wireless security mode or type as "64-bit WEP" and the key1 can be set as your phone no. because it has to be 10 numbers.
Now if your access point is WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) enabled, you can disable that feature.

Even if these steps do not work, you must take a back-up of the settings and upgrade the firmware version or re-flash the same version of firmware and restore to factory defaults and then later if it cannot be configured back by you, you can simply restore the saved the settings.

For further clarifications, please revert! Good question. Even we technicians encounter it.
Thanks for asking.

I cant get my wireless connection to work

Wireless communication "takes two to tango". Your computer needs a wireless adapter, and you need a wireless access point to connect to. Most wireless access points are setup to be secure with a password, and to connect to a secure wireless network you will need that password, and possibly the type of encryption.

You should start by enabling the wireless adapter in your computer, and searching for nearby networks. Please tell me what operating system you have (Windows XP/Vista, Mac OS, Linux, etc).

No wireless

You will need to reconfigure your wireless access point to work with your home network. You will need to plug an ethernet cable from your computer into the wireless access point and open a web browser. Depending on your wireless access point, point your browser to and see if it connects. You should be able to configure it from there. If you have more questions, you might want to refer to the hardware manual you received with the unit or from the manufacturer's website. Good Luck!
