Wired controllers for Xbox 360

I would like to buy an Xbox 360, with a hard drive, 20 MB, for my son but I do not want to have any wireless device at home. They come with one wireless controller. Is it possible to buy a wired controller (or two) for the above mentioned Xbox? The store did not know. Thank you for your advice.

X- box 360 is asking me to apply an update. So when I apply it a prompt comes up that says.update failed status code: 3F4B - 0000 - 0080 - 0300 - 8007 - 000F

Dear ,

Please try the following solutions.
Solution 1: Try installing the update again 1.Restart your console.
2.Press the Xbox Guide button on your controller (the large central X button).
3.Go to Settings and select System Settings.
4.Select Network Settings.
5.Select Wired Network or your wireless network name (if you are prompted to do so).
6.Select Test Xbox Live Connection.
7.Select Yes if you are prompted to update your console software.
If this didn't resolve the problem, try the next solution.
Solution 2: Make sure you have enough storage space
The latest console software update requires at least 190 megabytes (MB) of storage space (or 256 MB if you live in Japan). If you don't have enough free space, you need to move or delete some items
If this didn't resolve the problem, try the next solution.
Solution 3: Clear the system cache
Removing the temporary files on your console might solve the problem.
After clearing the cache, try the update again. If this didn't resolve the problem, try the next solution.
Solution 4: Reinsert the storage device
1.If you're using an Xbox 360 Memory Unit or a USB flash drive instead of a hard drive, remove and reinsert the Memory Unit or USB flash drive.
2If you have a hard drive, try removing and adding the hard drive
Solution 5: Roll back updates 1.Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings.
2.Select Storage.
3.Scroll down to your Memory Unit or hard drive, so that it's highlighted.
4.Press the Left bumper, press the Right bumper, and then press X.
5.Again press the Left bumper, press the Right bumper, and then press X.
6.Select Yes.

My son has a xbox360 and were trying to get xbox live to connect and it wont we had it working just fine on his brothers hes not home so we hooked it up to the other xbox 360 and it wont connect

1 Disconnect all accessories and wired controllers from the Xbox 360.
2 Hold the "Guide" button down for three seconds on any wireless controllers, then respond to the prompt on your television screen to disconnect the controllers from your system.3 turn on the wireless headset by pressing the "Power" button in the center of the earpiece. 4 Press the "Connect" button on the front of your Xbox 360 system. 5 Press the "Connect" button on the wireless headset. The ring of lights around the power button of the Xbox 360 system should spin and blink once. One of the lights should remain lit up, indicating the port number that the headset is using. If you do not see any lights on the system, you may have a faulty wireless headset.6 Press the "Guide" button on your wireless controller to reconnect the controller to the Xbox 360 system. If you are using a wired controller, you can plug it back into the system.7 Press the "Connect" button on the top of your wireless controller to sync the controller with your system. You should see the connection light around the "Guide" button on the controller light up, indicating which port you are connected to. You should also see a corresponding port light in the ring around the power button of your Xbox 360 system 8 Press the "Connect" button on the wireless headset until the port light on the headset matches the light on the controller and Xbox 360 system. For example, if you are the first player, the light for port number one should be lit up on the Xbox system, the controller and the headset. When all lights correspond, your headset should be properly connected.

Can not format xbox 360 console

Well, just to make sure you understand, after you format your Xbox 360 Hard Drive, all your data that was on the hard drive will be lost and cannot be recovered (like Hexic HD, Gamerpics, etc...) make sure that you really would want to do this before you continue, okay?

In formatting your Xbox 360 Hard Drive, follow these steps:
1. Turn on your Xbox 360 console without any disc in the disc tray.
2. In the System section of the Xbox 360 Dashboard, select Memory to view the Storage Devices area.
3. In the Storage Devices area, select Hard Drive then press the Y button on your Xbox 360 controller or on the remote control.
4. In the Device Options area, select Format. You receive the message:
This will delete all content on this device. Do you want to continue?
5. To format your Xbox 360 Hard Drive, select Yes.

If you encounter any problem with this, I would strongly suggest that you contact phone support of xbox for the Hardware department at the following phone numbers:

Toll free: (800) 4MY-XBOX
Direct dial: (425) 635-7180
Hearing impaired (TDD device): (866) 740-9269 or (425) 635-7102

Hours of operation
Phone assistance is available seven days a week.
9:00 A.M. to 1:00 A.M. Eastern Time
6:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. Pacific Time

Hope this helps! :)

Installing new "used" 20 MB Hard drive

there are only a few games for the 360 that require a hard drive in the first place (but without one you wont be able to save your game).
if you have one, the only possibility i can think of is maybe the hard drive is full, in which case you just need to delete a few things off of it. most games dont need very much space.

note: I'm not sure what you mean by new games and regular games. so if this doesn't help, make another post clarifying and ill see what i can do.

Xbox live connection keeps crashing.

problems usually happen, when the signal strength drops.
I,d suggest hard-wiring the 360 to the PC or router, for optimal performance.

Thankyou for using fixya.

Storage device not found

Saving a game requires you to have a Hard drive or memory card did you purchase the premium edition xbox 360? you can look on the outside of the xbox 360 box it will give the specs and what came with the system. If the hard drive is not on the list then you will need to buy one the xbox doesn't come with any internal memory like the systems in the past have. you will need to purchase a HD or a memory card. If you have the premium edition let me know ill instruct on how to set it up.

Xbox 360 elite

Well, you should have the 2 wireless things in your Xbox, but you probably knew that.
You also have to have them on seperate channels, I'm not sure if there is a switch to change that.

Hope that helped.
otherwise reply with more details.
