the LCD is shot off, i cant see imagens though it, but it seems to be responding to the touch in the menu when i see it through the viewfinder! is it broken ? what can cause an LCD to turn off just like that??

I also have the same problem. There was a settlement for many Sony Cameras/Camcorders that resulted from a bad CCD (imaging device). The symptoms are: unable to view current 'stuff' either in the LCD screen nor the viewfinder. But if you have a older tape that was previously recorded, you should be able to view the picture fine on the LCD. I am dealing with Sony as we speak in trying to get this problem under the current settlement.

my lcd screen appears black, i can touch.I can hear but I can´t see any thing on my LCD screen touch 2´5
