Sony Cyber-Shots present this Error E:91:01. It keeps flashing on the screen and even though you can use the camera you can't see the pictures! sound familiar!?
There are some diy out there, that may or may not solve the problem, they describe details yet require an investment to fix the problem, which might or might not work. Quote it at http://www.teleplancamerarepair.com/manufacturer/sony.asp
This problem shows up in several Sony Cyber-shot cameras and are not necessarily connected to anything you might do, although some people say that by mishandling the battery it might cause a short circuit leading to this.(no proof though)
Blog speaks more of it;

I KEEP GETTING ERROR E9101 PLUS ORANGE LIGHT KEEPS FLASHING WHICH WEARS THE BATT. DOWN FAST HELP PLEASE

Hi!
It's flash problem - could be a dead flash fuse or flash board. You should contact your local Sony service center or if they ask too much, you can contact me at toms.rammsteins@gmail.com. If you have a multimeter and you're ready to open it and test the fuse, contact me.
I work in a Sony service center.

My flash is not working

Change your batteries, the light should not be orange, but a brighter shade of red, or maybe GREEN.

E9101 flash error.

Hello Sayrah, there is no way you can fix it yourself. E9101 is an abnormality when flash is being charged. Contact your Sony dealer or local authorized Sony service facility. Best regards, Arpad
