Damaged SD-card? Check if you can read the card with a computer. If you can, copy the entire card to another SD-card and use that in your nav.

How do I recover pictures back to my power shot sd card

If your computer has a built in card reader you can put any photo back on the card from your computer by dragging and dropping the file to the drive letter that is your SD card. If you're trying to recover lost photos from a SD card Google "card recovery pro". It's a free program that will read your SD card and restore as many photo's as it can.

Garmin nuvi 200 SD card

Did you rename the file extensions? On the unit, the map file and map unlock file must be named gmapprom.img and gmapprom.unl

On the SD card they must be named gmapsupp.img and gmapsupp.unl.

Also copy your garmindevice.xml file over to the SD card too.

Do you get a different result if you turn on the unit with the SD card not installed? If so, then you may be able to solve the problem by installing an SD card with a known good program and map file(s). In that case, obtain an SD card reader for your computer if you do not have one. If your computer can read the SD card, make a backup image of it, then install a file set on it.

If the cannot be read, then you will need to reformat it and restore the original map files or try to install a new map image file to it.

In you are unable to install good application and map files on the SD card, you may have to get a new SD card from Navigon.

I need help installing a map onto a gramin sat nav

No. They are refering to maps sent from the computer to the Garmin device. Maps are not transferred off the SD card to the unit. Simply insert the SD card into the device and the Garmin will read the maps from the card.
to double check follow these steps
  1. Power on the unit with the card in
  2. Press Tools
  3. Press Settings
  4. Press Map
  5. Press Info (or map info)
This page should list out both your UK and Ireland maps(old as dirt) and your new Benelux and France maps as well

Deleted memory for garmin c530

Go to Garmin and download and install Garmin Express, Plug your GPS into your PC. The GPS should power on and Garmin Express should identify it and tell you of any updates. This would allow your to install new maps. You did not delete your internal memory, you deleted your internal maps. Moving the maps from internal to external memory cannot be done on your PC and have them work. They have to be installed on the SD card via Garmin Express. https://support.garmin.com/faqSearch/en-US/faq/content/b17m7lCO3R4UKUAt8x67J7

Cannot get map to work

First make sure you have a backup of your NEW ONE XL. You should be able to connect your XL to your PC using USB but not use TomTom home software. Your TomTom should appear in "my computer" as a drive . OR , put the SD card in a USB reader connected to a PC , that way you can look at and copy from or to the SD card.
You should be able to copy the map you have to the SD card directly ( if there is enough room on it ) , if theres not enough room , get a new bigger card , copy all the backup files you already have on your PC + the map you want. You might / should be then able to activate that map in the XL using the codes you say you have for the maps. if you try to do this using TomTom home it might have some restiction to stop you activating the required map but hopefully you should be able to do it manually as described above rather than use TomTom home. ... GOOD LUCK .

Only way - buy a new SD card with maps. Maps are attached to an unique read only serial number of SD card.
