SOURCE: Alarm activated everytime I use the key to open the door.

very common issue with the vigor, it`s the power door actuator or something...there are 2 ways to fix it:

- the harder way (unless you`re half-decent at DIY car stuff, which I`m not), all you really are doing is cleaning the contacts..a detailed guide is here
http://www.acuravigorclub.com/Timely-Topics/Timely1202.htm

- OR the easy way is to just trick your car into thinking the hood is open so the alarm will never arm itself. Taken from another post:

You can effectively permanently disable the alarm (who actually bothers to respond when they hear a car alarm anyways?) by opening up the hood and finding the little switch that detects whether the hood is closed. Just bend this so that the alarm system always thinks the hood is open and the alarm system will never arm even if you lock the doors.

You can get a good locksmith to make a key...last time I check it ran about 30-$50.

inside the mechanical lock (The part that actualy holds the door shut when you close it) there is a switch that informs the control unit that the lock is either locked or unlocked.
These switches fail sometimes, when this happens the control unit is not aware that you have opened the door, and therefor will not wind the window down slightly.
This is also likely to be the cause of problem # 3 , door will not lock. I fthe faulty switch is not informing the control unit that the door is closed, the central locking will not try to lock the door (because it thinks the door is still open).
The switch is integral with the lock unit, and they are not easy things to replace either.
as for the wipers and engine fault, there could be a number of different possible faults here, would have to be looked at.

SOURCE: '91 LS400, trunk will not

If you hear the sound of the electric latch switch, then it's working but stuck somehow. Just put the key in the switch and turn it to the right and then pull up the trunk or ask someone to help you. it will open. I tried it today and it opened with me. It was stuck from inside by some kind of a broken plastic pieces. Just removed it and now it's working fine. good luck

I assume it's running by now. I would have made sure the battery is fully charged first then lock/unlock the driver's door several times with the chipped key.

Could be your fuel pump failing. Try this; turn ign key to "on", not "start" then off after 5 seconds. Do this several times then try "start". If it starts right up this time, your fuel pump could be going bad, or the fuel pressure is dropping for whatever reason.

My 2004 gmc envoy starts but shut off after 1 or 2 seconds

Is there a Security light on the dash? Does it come on when the engine stops? If so, it could be having trouble reading the ignition key code. You would need to have that checked by a dealership.

I have a 2202 Impala. Three weeks ago I attempted to start my car, nothing happened. No click,buzz..nothing. For about ten minutes I jiggled the key, put the key in and out of the ignition several times...

Yes, this your anti theft security failing. Its having a hard time receiving the transponder signal from your key. When it doesnt get this signal, it turns off the starter to prevent theft. It basically thinks its getting stolen so it shuts down. The problem is in the diagnoses. It might be the key, the ignition/lock cylinder, or the TDM computer itself. (Theft Deterrent Module) All are expensive and pointless to fix. Your cheapest route is to bypass the whole system and never worry again. The average life on these systems is 6-10 years. Here is a link with info and some DO IT YOURSELF ways to beat this. http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/

Oil light flashing, last oil change 7 wks ago

I belive they didn't reset the oil light timer. I belive the sequence is 1. key on (not acc with engine off)
2. step on the brake pedal 5 times within 10 seconds. 3. key off. 4. start car. 5. check if the light went out. you may have to try it a few times to get it.

Turn signals stopped working

Under the dash just to the left of steering column you will find the signal fuse. it's about 1 "x 1.5" little box that plugs into a fuse block ( if you put your finger on it and push, with signal on, you can feel signal working) over time the holes in fuseblock become worn. A new fuse won't do it. But if you take the fuse out and coat the leads with solder, ( be suer to clean & flux them first) it will enlarge the posts or leads so that it will fit more snug. And thjat should take care of it
