Question about iRiver T60 MP3 Player

1 Answer

Player wont play certain albums when getting close to being full.

Ive got a problem with my new iRiver T60 (4GB).

When I sync my music to it everything seems to work ok and all the files appear on the player, however, when I go to play some of the songs they just wont play.

They appear on the screen (of the player) as existing, but when I push play nothing happens and when I try to skip to them, they get ignored and something else on the list (that works) gets played.

Ive noticed this happens quite often when the player is getting close to being full (within 200Mb or so to full).

The albums arent corrupt because if you delete something else, they play ok, and Ive noticed that it seems to happen more often to the last songs/albums on my sync list.

Im using Windows XP and the standard Windows Media Player that came with it to sync the songs onto it in (I think) wma format.

Obviously this is frustrating because there is 200 or so odd Mb that Id really like to fill up.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

Thanks heaps!

Re: Player wont play certain albums when getting close to...

There is a maximum number of songs allowed (1000 for 4 GB) so you are probably over this magic number - they are still listed just don't play. I don't have solution for you - just a reason why.

Hi there,
Based on iRiver E10 User's Guide, you can use iRiver Plus Software to transfer music and picture files to E10.
If you dont have the software iRiver Plus, you can download and get the installation guide here:

iRiver Plus 3 (62.2 MB)

(see this guide below for how to Sync)

goodluck :)

Music won't show under "Music" in main menu

Dear iriver users,

When I frist drag and dropped pictures onto iriver, nothing showed up. With more playing around, I discovered, frustratingly!..that I can download pictures onto WMP and sync it with my iriver that way. That is the only solution I have found, even though it seems possible with the drag n'drop!

good luck!

Iriver H10 20GB - i can't access my music through Artists or Albums

Have you tired doing a "Database Refresh". It's located on the main screen under "Settings". Go to Database Refresh and check "Yes". How much music you have on your player will determine how long the refresh will take. If that doesn't work possibly run the Firmware Updater from iRivers' web site and only update the database, do not do a complete "Recovery" or all of your music will be erased as that choice reformats your hard drive. Only choose "Update Firmware"

Will not syncronise with iriver plus, media player does not recognise devise

There are two ways to format an Mp3 player - one on the computer itself, and one in Windows Media Player. Both methods will end up erasing all the songs on the player, but the player will be "good as new" after that. Sometimes reformatting in this manner will override the player's native formatting and cause problems - this can be reversed in most cases by updating the player's firmware. Firmware upgrades are available from most manufacturers' websites.

WARNING: The following procedures will erase all songs on the player.

Check if the file system is NTFS. If yes, format it to FAT or FAT32. - Connect player to computer, double-click my computer, right click on icon of mp3 player and select format. This only applies to Windows-based computers.
You can also format the player in Windows Media Player itself:
Connect your Mp3 player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "name of Mp3 player here 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
