Do you have a printer with multiple built-in readers

see if it will run without the external memory stix

let it use it's own internal memory...

    ****

Oh the camera should connect on the computer with just the USB then it should look like just another drive

there should not be anything exotic here

Where do i buy a usb cable,for downloading pictures?polaroid t831 digital camera,are they available at wal-mart,radio shack,......where?

Consider NOT using a USB connection.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Even if you have to buy a card reader, it won't be any more expensive than a USB cable.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Purchased a Polaroid x800 camera and can not transfer photos to computer (and I have tried 3 computers - 2 running XP Pro and 1 running Windows 7). Upon connecting the USB cable it shows up as a removable...

Just did this with my daughter and it worked:

1. Turn PC on.
2. Plug camera cable into Camera.
3. Plug camera cable USB end into computer USB port.
4. Turn on Camera... wait until camera show message 'USB, PC, Pictbridge'.
5. PC should be selected if not select by highlighting and press shutter button.
6. Press 'Shutter' button.
7. Window 'Autoplay' appears on PC. Select 'import' in Autoplay window.
8. Another window will ask you to name your picture folder. Give it a name.
9. The pictures download to the picture folder automatically.
10. Turn the camera off and disconnect cable from camera and from the PC
11. ENJOY!!

Try this option, if it does not work, let me know and I will suggest something else!

Plug the camera in along with the usb into the computer and if nothing pops up, go to start, run and browse for your camera. It should show up there.
