Question about Standard (CRT) Televisions
I have a television RCA big screen model P529375G. The problem is that our power went out several times last week. The last time it did and came back the TV screen was changed. THe picture seems to be stretched out past the parameters of the screen and it is also being stretched through the corners where vertical lines near the edges of the screen are being curved. There doesn't seem to be any means of fixing it through the TV's menu. Is there anything you can suggest to help?

Your set might have a high voltage leak and that is the noise you hear when is showing the screen problem or even maybe an arking too ,either one is related to the high voltage and it can be dangerous,if you are familiar with tv service you can try to see where is arking and replace the part with an exact replacement but if the set has a leak you will not see it and is not safe to be close to it,if you are not too familiar be safe and call for assistance from a servicer.

I think I have the solution for you. I have the same tv and it does the
same thing when you turn on the power button on the remote when the tv
turns on you hear a click then the red light flashes about 5 to 6 times
then the tv comes on. on the remote there should be two buttons on top
of the remote one says power and the other one says system hit the
power button to turn on the tv when you hear the click and see the red
light flashing then hit the system button which will turn off the tv
then hit the power button again and it will turn the tv on without the
red light flashing it should work
