Question about Zebra Z4Mplus Label Printer
My Customer Uses Zebra Printer in all geographies... We had orderd a Zebra Printer Z4mPlus, when we send a print from SAP Module the Print covers only 60% of the label and not 100%. All the Zebra Printers in other locations show Print Width as 104 0/8 MM. The one we use at this site shows 104 0/12MM, it seems that other location use 200 DPI as per Zebra Engineer and we are using 300 DPI Print head, any way to change the configuration to use 200 DPI and get 100% print on the Label. Again the Print out is complete only that it is smaller and covers only 60% of Label compared ot other location which is big and covers full 100%. We understand with 200 DPI the resolution will be small but we need complete width label print.
The issue you are having is DPI related, when data is sent to the printer and rendered it is dot for dot, so a Z4M 203dpi printer has about 800dots on the printhead where your printer has about 1200dots on the printhead. so when your software prints to dot800 thinking it is the edge of the label it is infact at 60%. there sould be an option in the software to configure around this. if not the is an option in the printer to convert DPI setting ie 150>300 or 100>200 and so on. but i don't thing you can make a 300dpi print as 203dpi
best of luck

Once you swap the printhead you will have to flip the pulley on the drive motor, or the label length will be off.

Thanks for the response, I did try the formatting option from 150>300 or 100>200, it does expand the print or you can say zoom the print, but the print appearing on the label is way tooo big... it drops half the content out of the label... none of the format provided helps in getting the print at 100%. The only option would be to make changes in SAP module to reduce the print size but that would mean changes geographically for all printers. changes in SAP module print settings for just one printer running on 300 DPI would have have all 200 DPI prints on 80%.
Do you suggest we go ahead and replace just the Print Head from 300 DPI to 200DPI, as it is I have tried all combination but the result solution comes to printer head replacement.
