Hi,
I had the same problem. Called Casio customer service and was told that this has been a problem with a lot of the batteries. They are sending me a new battery for free. The number is 1-800-435-7732. They gave me no argument at all. Call 'em up!!

If you can’t get the manufacturer to fix it or send you the parts you may want to try and fix it yourself.I found a guy in South Carolina who sells good used parts and will give you some suggestions on how to do it yourself.I bought a LCD from him for $39.00, fixed it myself and it works great.I think his email is gerald.ray@aa-ark.com

The reason that this is happening to because the connector cord has been placed into the charging station upside down. Unplug it and flip it over so that the 125V reading is towards the bottom and the "well shin" reading is faced upwards (facing the side of the charger where the battery and light appear.)
this should solve all your problems; I think the blinking red light is just an alert to let you know that the connection is wrong.

Same problem here. The first time it happened I took the battery out of the charger and put it back in a few times until the red light was burning steady. Now it just blinks.
When I keep the battery for charging the red light keeps blinking. I bought the camera just 4 months ago. So the battery is new. It has not been used much. So, what is the solution? I have not done anything to solve the problem.
