When the buttons are locked: hold down, while monitor is on, the menu button for 10 seconds (source Samsung faq)

the monitor does not switch on when the ups is on i have to press the on off switch several time to on the monitor what is the problem

Just press the "enter button" next to "auto button" for some seconds .

The menu always dislayed. pressing hold of the menu button causes it to disappear. but as soon as I take myhands off the button,it appears again.

my monitor samsung syncmaster 551v displays a message ( control lock , locked - un locked ) in the middle of the screen and i tried the menue key in vain . also i tried the display in control panel
