Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I have down loaded a bea to delete other songs -also I have one auto book I am not able to delete

What is a 'bea?'

One way to delete songs (and maybe books) easily is to it through your computer, while the Sansa is tethered;

1) Download the Sansa Clip manual. Here's a link;
http://www.sandisk.com/media/327475/CLIP+_UM_0809_ENG+090309.pdf

2) Put your Sansa in MSC (Mass Storage Class) mode.
Go to Settings, then USB Mode. Select MSC mode.

3) Tether the Sansa to your computer. It will look like a USB flash drive.

4) Delete or add Music, or Books.
You can use Windows Explorer to look through the directories on the Sansa, and delete files directly, as you would on a USB Flash drive.

Special Note on Audio Books--
Get an extra memory card, 4 to 8 Gb should do, and use this as your destination for audio books. If you have a book that will not delete, you can pull the card and re-format it, while leaving your songs intact on the main memory.

If you cannot delete the book through the computer or by menus on the Sansa, you may have to re-format your main memory. Hope that helps!

How do I delete 30mbs from my sansa clip the message is: not enough space for music DB. Please free 30mbs

Hello,

The player needs free memory to build its database for playlists to playback.

To free memory on your player:
1. Connect to a computer
2. Save a backup of (preferred all) songs to a location on the computer
3. Delete some files off the player to free at least 30 MB memory in the Sansa Clip

Use the manual for how to connect and delete music files.

What is the best way to put music on the gb4+? I have songs on my computer in folders.

If you plan to copy music to / delete music from your Clip infrequently, you can just use Windows Explorer. Connect your Clip to your computer, open "My Computer" (or "Computer" if you're using Vista), and you'll see your Clip listed there. Double-click on it. If you see "Internal Memory", double-click on that. You should then see a set of folders including one called "Music". Use Windows Explorer to copy-and-paste the songs to your Clip.

If you plan to copy songs to / delete from your Clip frequently, or if you have a very large music collection, you may want to use a program like Windows Media Player, MediaMonkey or Winamp. These programs can be used to "sync" your music to your Clip; that is, they make sure that whatever music you have on your computer will have an exact copy on your Clip.

Two problems 1)My sansa clip shut down on its own and when I turned it back on all files were erased. When plugged into the computer the media player still showed 3/4 of the memory still used on the clip...

Its not usles, you can delete the files while on the computer. After having in plugged in you can access it like a flash drive. Then you can open the music folder and delete as you will. Depending on what kind of files you have on it, its possible that i wont recognize the format of the file. I think though from what you've said that it did work, and then stopped playing songs that worked before. So I don't know what to do about that. I don't use the normal way of loading songs onto my Sansa clip MP# player though. I just dump all of my songs via direct transfer into the music folder in the player itself

My mp3 player says that the memory is full but I have no songs

if you are deleted the song using computer interface before, it is still on hidden file. plugin your device to computer and go to your sansa directory,
unhide all hidden file and delete it if you are using windows, but for mac pc, just go to the finder then ampty the trash.
