Question about Watches
My tag heuer 2000 chronograph professional start/stop button must be pressed really hard for it to work. But still works. Watch has received bumps and knocks over years of owning but the last one being 3-4 years ago and the button became hard only now.
Tag claims it is the dial which to replace puts me in the money of nearly buying another watch.
I was under the impression it could be a swollen seal.
Yes it would seem unlikely that the dial would cause this problem. It is more likely to be the seal if the pusher seems hard to depress. Watches should be serviced every two to three years at which time pusher seals are usually replaced. Recommend you take it to a watchmaker for a service to maintain the watch properly.
