Question about Sharp Microwave Ovens

My 1450 blew the in-line 20amp fuse, just

My 1450 blew the in-line 20amp fuse,just before that it made a loud vibrating
sound,I bypassed the fuse and reset the panel,
all controls work,I set the timer for 5sec.
and the unit started,it made a loud buzzing
sound and the lights dimmed when it started
the induction motor worked as did the turntable
and light,it is 15 years old but worked great,
is it worth fixing????? it is a r-1450 850
watt 1995

Sounds like the H.V. diode,capacitor,or mag is shorted first 2 items are cheap, the mag gets pricey, call "Appliance Parts Pro's" they can help you on parts great prices and fast shipping

GE Advantium 120 SCA1000DWW03 blowing 20amp fuse


Our unit was doing the same thing,
took it into the repair shop, they said there was nothing wrong with the unit, replace the main breaker that supplies power to microwave and try again.
Sure enough the breaker became defective, and we never had issues with it before, but now the unit has not had a single problem.

Electrolux microwave model fgmv185kfa made a loud pop and now won't heat anything and sounds louder than normal when running. Everything else seems to b working fine

Dacor DMT2420s when started makes a loud buzzing sound


The fan could have an obstuction. I have heard of tech sheets getting into the fan and causing a vibration and vibrating sound.

Blown Microwave


Most likely a shorted capacitor and a blown fuse. Very common problem on that model.
