Question about BenQ FP92W LCD Monitor
I recent received a E207WFPc Dell Monitor, though it was from a family member. They mentioned it didn't work after someone had visited them, and so I thought I would take a look at it. Immediately after powering on, the power button is still green, but the dell logo, with the default screen stays up for a second before the screen goes black again. When plugged into a laptop or another computer, roughly the same thing, only the power button is yellow. Though I am not sure, It might easily be that someone has changed the contrast and brightness to 0, if that is possible with this monitor, making it hard/impossible to fix. Any ideas on how to make this usable again? I have browsed the Dell website for hours, and their 'user manual' for it is worthless, and dell refuses to help with it.
The problem you have mentioned may not be due to contrast setting but the LCD itself . Power on the mointor and disconnect the signal cable from the back. if you see a self test box running on the LCD , the LCD is oK . If you donnot see the self test box the LCD is back. Dell doesnot service LCDs and you may need to get in touch with the local repair shop.
