SOURCE: where to buy a 12V 3.0A output power supply for a TFT monitor

I would just google for power supply 12v 3.0a. However you need to make sure the connector is the same as yours and the polarity is the same. Look for any markings (part number) on your A/C transformer. Search for that first. If no luck then find a similar one.

Here is one such AC/DC power supply:

About a Sanyo TV manufactured Feb 2014. It does not come on after being perfectly o.k. the night before

Fault with the main power supply regulator board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time.

Power comes on but turns off, when back is removed the light on the power unit flashed 12 times, defined as D12V problem.

So the 12V power supply is either not there (faulty power board) or is shorted by whichever board it is passed to.

I do not know this particual Sanyo, but I know what I'd do - I'd open and see at the power board which of the output cables carries 12V; they are most commonly labelled on the power board, right next to the output pins.

12V is usually power going to the audio amplifier and sometimes to tcon (LCD controller) of even the main board , but it won't go to to the ysustain - the other apparently large board when you open the TV.

Of all listed I'd say only the audio amplifier is likely to short...all others are possible, but highly unlikely.

BTW what do you mean "but turns off, when back is removed"?
