Question about Kenmore 800 7982 Dryer
Try resetting the dual-breakers for the dryer in the house electrical panel--push OFF, then ON. If still nothing, you need to measure the voltage (with a voltmeter) across the two slanted slots in the dryer socket. If measures ~220 volts AC--ok. If reads near zero, one or both breakers in the house panel are likely defective. If read 220 volts, then problem is within the dryer--likely burned out heating element.
