Whenever I am working on my laptop, the cd drive continually pops out, and seems as though to not stay in place for more than ten minutes. When ever I try to install a cd to my computer, it seems as though because of the continuous problem with the cd drive, the program will not work either.

It is prbably a bad cr drive. HP has extended the warrnty on many of those laptops because of issues such as yours. read the info on this link:
