Hi

The code IE means its a Water inlet trouble. You need to check clogging of water inlet hose (or hose twist or freezing) and also check water supply. If there is clogging you need to clean it so that the issue is resolved.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

    Hi

First measure the electric resistance of the Inlet Valve. If it’s between 950-1300 ω, then it means the valve is fine, if not you have to replace the Inlet Valve. Also is there any water coming in? If yes - could be flow meter. If no - could be water safety shut off valve or connecting wires. If you could check for voltage at the Water Valve when it should be filling.

Try disconnecting the Water Valve outlet from the Dishwasher and run the output into a bucket. Remove the door panel and inspect the wires near the bottom of the door. The wires get buried in the tar like insulation causing the wires to break as the door is opened and closed.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

    Thanks

IE is inlet error, displayed when "Not reached to the normal water level in spite of 10 min. water supply"

Possible cause:

  • The Water Supply Tap is closed.
  • The Water Supply is shut off.
  • The Inlet Hose is kinked.
  • The Water Pressure is very low.(below 10 psi)
  • Inlet Valve is OK?
  • The filter of Inlet Valve is clogged by impure water.
  • The Hall sensor is OK?
  • The Impeller of Air Guide is bound.
Remedy:

  • Cut power by tripping circuit breaker or unplugging power cable for ten minutes.
  • Take action on Water Supply device.
  • Measure the electric resistance of Inlet Valve. (950-1300 )
  • Clean the filter of Inlet Valve.
  • Check the frequency of Inlet Water by the Test Mode.
  • Replace the Air Breaker
Let me know how this turns out.

My LG dishwasher - model LD-12AW2 has 'E1' alert & won't work

This sounds like a anti flood activation due to water leak / spill detection. This device (polystireen float and micro switch) at the base of the washer detects any water leak and stops the washing cycle once water leak activates the switch via the float. Check if any water at the base of washer is cuasing the float to activate the switch. Rectify any leak / spill (normally a pipe / clamp) and this should solve the problem.

Can you please tell us the exact model of your dishwasher? What you can try initially is unplug the power cable of your unit for about 10 minutes, then plug it back in. See if that clears the error. Will give you follow up about the E1 error.

Error Code OE

Hi there,
The most common cause of an OE error code on a modern LG dishwasher is:
1. Blocked drain hose
2. Obstruction in the sump area (beneath the filter, which needs to be removed to check for onstruction)
3. Failing drain motor.

else you need to REPLACE THE PCB POWER CONTROL BOARD

Good Luck!!!

Ie problem on lg dishwasher

The IE is telling you it is not getting enough water. Could be your water pressure is low. Check to make sure the there is not a build up of grime, or calcium deposits in the water hose, and at the valve.
The other thing is if your unit is an older one, prior to mar 07, you may have broken wires in the door. Remove the door panel and look for any wires that are stuck in the insulation. The sensor wires are thin and gray in colour. Splice the wires and put some of the white insulation in between the wires and the door so it cannot happen again.
Broken wires can be hard to find if the break is not all the way through.

this unit has an anti flood device. if it leaks it lifts a piece of plastic in the base and hits the microswitch. try leaning the unit to one side and i would put towels down. if water comes out then try a program. hope this helps.
