check the manual. it sounds like a warning that would be in the troubleshooting section at the back. usually the motor comes on to discharge any remaining water that could have been left in the bottom, then it fills. if it never gets to fill, then the problem is likely the pump motor unit. especially if you hear it try to run, but then it stops. it could be the fill valve too. if it runs to drain and then trys to fill but the valve does not open, it will not run. it could also be a timer or capacitor. good luck mark
