Insert the Microdrive /CF card.
Set the CF switch and record the image using the memory stick.

I was not able to insert image in the above message. So kindly check the below link.

You need to format the memory card first before using it , if you cannot format it using the camera menu you can format it by using a card reader and format it via the computer, but if still the same problem better if you have a different memory to test with it because this can be a problem with the card...

My DSC f828 sony camera's lens is loose. Sony says it is not worth repairing. Surely there must be a way to fix this ? thanks

I'm not sure what you mean by "loose". Does it still take good pictures? If not, then Sony is correct...the camera was introduced in 2003 and the cost of repair would far exceed the camera's worth.

Where can I find a memory card with more megabites of memory?

The sony cyber-Shot Dsc F828 does not work well with memory stick that are more than 2gb. I have used 4gb memory stick, but realised that it failed to record most of my photos. Other are recorded but hard to extract. I would recomed 1gb stick. Keep more than one

Cyber-shot DSC-F828 memory stick error C:13:01

HI,

Please clean the gold contacts of your memory card.Take any lead pencil. Take the eraser and rub it on the gold contacts on the memory stick as if you are erasing writing on paper. Do this for about 30 seconds or more until you get all the gold contacts. Put the stick in the camera, switch to 'Setup', then turn the camera on. The 'C:13:01' error will automatically disappear. At this point, quickly format the memory stick using the camera's format feature.NOTE:
Al;ways use the camera's built in function to format your memory card.Do not use the computer to format the memory card.

If you still face any problems then you will have to get it repaired.

Thank you

What is the maximum memory C/F for sony DSC-F828

On the Sony website it says 4G is the maximum "capatible" size. However from my understanding about the description, 4G is the file size limit on the FAT32 format, the camera should be able to use 8G card. Puls 8G cards often provide higher speed. If you wanna be safe, use 4G, if capacity is an issue, use 8G

Sony DSC F828 - getting C:13:01 error message.

The Sony DSC F828 service manual states that this is because the media is either damaged or not formatted. It is suggested to format it inside the camera with the camera's format utility.

There are a few memory sticks that have not been tested (certified) with this camera and will not work correctly. Also it is possible to get a damaged memory stick that is readable by a computer, but the camera will not read it.

It is best to format it with the built in utility
