Reply with the Make/Model of the vehicle.
And the Make/Model # of the head unit.
Also - if it is new or used.

It is going into protection mode. There is probably something amiss.

Lets start off by verifying all the wiring and go from there.

I am a small business owner (car audio) and have been installing professionally for 17 years.

Thanks!!

How are you connecting the wires? tape, solder&heatshrink, or crimp-on terminals, and have you disconnected the speakers and re-tried the unit?

If you power on the unit with no speakers attached - the problem is within the radio itself... most likely a blown output IC.

If the radio powers on fine without speakers hooked up - and does not shut off - you likely have a blown speaker or wire-to-ground situation. Cracked or pinched wire - or speaker terminals touching metal.

If you used tape to make connections, double check the wires arent touching ground behind the radio once installed.

also - be sure the 2 un-used wires are terminated (taped etc.) so they are not flopping around in the back as well.

Here are the car's wire colors just as an FYI - but if you are using a wire harness adapter - you shouldnt need them.

    Constant 12V+ Blue/Yellow
    Switched 12V+ Gray
    Ground Brown
    Illumination Dark Green
    Dimmer White/Green
    Antenna Trigger n/a
    Antenna Rear Window
    Front Speakers 6 1/2" Doors
    Left Front (+) Pink
    Left Front (-) Purple
    Right Front (+) Green
    Right Front (-) Blue
    Rear Speakers 6" x 9" Rear Deck
    Left Rear (+) Black
    Left Rear (-) Yellow
    Right Rear (+) Red
    Right Rear (-) White

Honestly - it is not a repair you should attempt if you're asking how :D

You'll need a 12V variable power supply, and the ability to use a DMM properly.

There are more than one in the amplifier section - and there may be more than one faulty.

An IC itself costs about $5 (if that is the problem) and can be repaired in 1 hour by a professional.

You're looking at a $35-40 hassle free repair.

    Have you disconnected the speakers?

It may be worth your while to use an external 4 channel amplifier - and bypass the internal one altogether. Use the RCA output for pre-amp signal.

Cleaner sound and more power. (the radio is about 12W per channel - if that)

Could someone please exsplain this small little problem to me Thankyou Im trying to figure out the fireing order on my 305 chevy engine they give me the fireing order of the plugs but not the dis trib

You need to start by turning the crankshaft pulley to TDC (top Dead Centre) There should be an alignment mark on there for reference. Once you have this, then remove the distributor cap and refer to the position of the rotor arm. It is pointing to number 1 plug lead (number 1 cylinder). You can start from that reference and hook up No.1 plug lead. Then, as your rotor arm turns clockwise, it should hit the following cylinders in this sequence: 1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2.

1,3,5,7 refers to the left bank and 2,4,6,8 refers to the right bank.

Furnace blower does not turn on

Pat, look for any way to add a few drops of 3-in-1 electric motor oil to the shaft ends. You may find a few small plastic removable plugs where you can drop a few drops into. Get the numbers off the oval shaped capacitor and replace it as soon as possible. Inspect all wires and sand all contacts one at a time to make sure wires go back on original spades. If it continues, you may need to replace the fan relay. Good luck to you!

Had the same problem. Make sure you tighten the house a little with pliers. Also, make sure the dehumidifier is up a lot higher than where you're draining it into. Mine drains into a utility sink. But I have the dehumidifier propped up onto a dresser. I cut a small piece of hose to run into the sink. Seems to be working now.

It will take 5 min or so to establish a water flow, so be patient after you hook everything up. Good luck.

Can't get dvd player to work on this tv!!!

im guessing that you cant go to av mode because you dont have a remote, am I right? if thats the case you need to go to walmart and buy an RF converter. You can plug you dvd into the converter, then run a coax cable from the converter to your tv coax inout aka anteanna input, then depending on your converter switch your tv to either channel 3 or 4 and presto. it will hook up just like vcr's and onld nintendos use to. You can pick up an RF converter cheap at walmart or check e-bay, couple bucks and your watching dvds.

Tv wont turn on after fixing convergence problem

Check the pins with a strong magnifying glass to make sure they are solderd correctly with none of the pins bridged with solder, then recheck all the wire connections to make certain they are correctly hooked up.
