Question about Fuji FinePix F700 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Card is Full message displayed

I currently have no pictures/images at all on my camera--however the red"CARD is Full" message appears on my display and I am unable to take any photos.
I have the quality setting at 3M and my memory card is128MB. It is the card I have always used Olympus XD-Picture card..
The battery is charged the setting is on Auto.

What is going on? Thanks for any input/advice.

There are NO images at all on my memory card. I have deleted all of them after I transferred them to my computer. This is what is confusing to me. The camera says No Image when I set it to the auto setting to shoot photos. When I set the camera to view the pictures it says CARD FULL!

Lemmor your response made me go back and check to see if any photos would show when viewed via the computer. And...they were all in folders for different events. I could only view these folders filled w/photos with the camera connected to the computer. I was not able to view these folders by directly looking for them on the camera. Hence the confusion.

Yes, I had already saved them in My Pictures but... they were apparently still saved in folders also. Don't know if this makes sense? Regardless--thanks for responding and thanks for getting my wheeels turning--I think my camera is good to go now!

Have you removed the old picture in your 128MB? It might be full already, transfer them to your computer to have the space.

I can not take picture because when I press the button it appears on the display Memory Full

That means you have filled up the memory capacity of your camera. You need to buy a memory card and insert it into the slot of your camera - typically located near the battery. If it's a phone you're talking about, I don't know. Take it to the dealer.

My samsung s630 says the memory is full. I cleared photos from the sd card and internal memory, but still can only take four pictures in the lowest quality and size setting.

Memory card might gone bad but can do this following troubleshooting step. Formatting a memory ** This is used for formatting the memory. If you run [Format] on the memory, all images, including the protected images, will be deleted. Be sure to download important images to your PC before formatting the memory. Sub menus
[No] : The memory will not be formatted. Press the menu button three times and the menu display will disappear.
[Yes] : A [Processing!] message appears and the memory will be formatted. If you run FORMAT in Play mode, a [No Image!] message will appear. 1d36119.png
Be sure to run [Format] on the following types of memory card.
- A new memory card, or an unformatted memory card
- A memory card that has a file this camera can't recognize or one that has been taken from another camera.
- Always format the memory card using this camera. If you insert a memory card that has been formatted using other cameras, memory card readers, or PCs, you will get a [Card Error!] message. ** There might be bad sectors on your memory card.

''Unable to display this image'' error on Pentax Kx

Sounds like some of the spaces on the card are becoming corrupted. How do you download? With the camera and USB cord, card inserted into reader on computer, or card inserted in a separate card reader? When you are finished downloading, do you use the "safely remove hardware" icon at the bottom right of your computer screen or do you just yank out the cord or card thereby causing the corruption?

Memory Card

chances are its the size of the pictures the camera is set to take, you will have to make them smaller, and lower quality to raise the amount of pictures you can take. The instructions on how to do that should be in the manual, or you can try the 1 i found on their site.

Changing the Resolution and Compression
1. With the camera power on, press the <FUNC./SET> button.

070.gif 2. In the Function menu select L* or 295.gifusing the 021.gifor 026.gif button.
a550rescomp.gif * The current setting is displayed.
3. Select the resolution or compression you wish to set using the 028.gifor 023.gif button.
You can shoot the image right after selecting settings by pressing the shutter button. This screen will appear again, once the image is shot.
6. Press the <FUNC./SET> button.
7. Shoot the image.

i hope that helps, later you might want to invest in a bigger memory card, 16mb is very small.Id go for a 512mb or a 1gb SD memory card ,then you'll be able to take more larger quality pictures.

No power

a blinking red light next to the viewfinder means one of the following:
It most likely is an xD-Picture Card Warning--meaning
no card inserted, card not formatted, incorrect format, card full, xD-Picture Card error (perhaps it was scratched when you removed it, or it received a shock.) If it looks dirty, clean it with a cotton cloth.
Have you touched your xD card? It is located in the battery area. You can either pull it out, or push it in and it pops out. Perhaps it wasn't pushed in all the way. Try that first. If that doesn't work, do you have another xD card to try? Maybe you can find the little one it came with--usually a 16 MB card. The 512 MB are pretty cheap these days online. I know that my card works whether or not it is formatted in the camera or by my computer, as I download all my pictures into my laptop with its card reader. If you did that, and erased the Fuji file the images usually sit in, you might have to download the card with a computer card reader, as the finepix software might not work. You will find loads of programs happy to download from a card reader--I like Windows live photo gallery. In fact, that is the ONLY thing I like about Vista. My camera then always reformats the xD card when I put it back.
One explanation: "The xD-Picture Card will work well for long time, but will sooner or later lose its ability to store and play
back images or movies. If this happens replace it
with a new xD-Picture Card."
If something is wrong with the xD card, an error message should appear on the LCD display. If you haven't fixed it with the info I;ve provided you, let me know what the error message says.
