Cannot get to Start - the computer restarts before Windows completes the opening cycle. Keeps looping.

I have the same problem; once I turn the laptop on, it goes to the menu where it lets you choose Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, Safe Mode with Command Prompt, Start Windows from last working point, and Start Windows Normally. If I click on any of those options, it starts to load and then the blue screen flashes for a second and then the laptop just either shuts down or restarts into the same thing. So I can't even get into Safe Mode... I also put in my Windows OS installation disc and tried Booting From CD-ROM drive, and the setup begins and then the laptop just crashes again. I brought the laptop to a GeekSquad and the guy said it was most likely a hard drive failure...
    What should I do?

    Thanks alot!

I have s very similar problem - turn laptop on and the screen comes up offering safe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode with command prompt, last known good config or start windows normally. I have tried them all and it tries to restart but keeps looping back to the same safe mode option page.

Any ideas of how to get out of this vicious circle please?

PS its actually a dv2000 but hopefully that doesn't make too much difference...

I had the same thing happen on my laptop. I took it to be serviced and the tech told me I had one of the worst internet viruses he's seen. There was no way to save my data and the computer had to be reformatted.....each sector zeroed 7 times each!!! He also told me that McAfee and Norton both miss this virus and the only one he knows that works is AVG.

How do I correct the problem code C 0000001 on Windows 8 operating system

Solve Error Code 0xc0000001 in Winodws 8 Team Windows 8

Windows 8 Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) or Error Code: 0xc0000001 sometime occurs without any specific issue. You can't be sure what actually caused it. Be it a system issue or some driver problem, you may end up seeing this screen when you restart your computer.

To solve this blue screen error in windows 8, turn off your computer and when you power it up again, immediately press SHIFT + F8 key you will be resented with following screen:

Click on "See advanced repair options" and from the next screen, choose "Troubleshoot":

On the next screen, choose "Advanced Options"

In Advanced Options, choose "Windows Startup Settings"

There you will find a button "Restart". Click on this button and allow the wizard to complete all the steps. Note that it will repair your computer without making any changes to it. Once the process is completed, your computer will automatically restart and you should be able to boot windows now.

Still facing same error?

If you have followed all the above mentioned steps but got no luck in booting up your windows then probably your cause of the error is more solid and cannot be restored with mere settings reset. But don't worry, it can still be solved using windows recovery options. For this you should have a recovery/installation disc or USB Flash Drive.

What can I do to get my laptop to start up rather than a continual error message and re-boot cycle?

It is looking for the operating system on the hard drive and failing to find it in the system restore area.

If it does not find it, it will look on the DVD and or flash drive.

You need to make a backup of the operating system on to a DVD or flash drive from another windows 8 computer and put it in the computer to be repaired.

Hp pavilion slimline s3600t desktop pc - Wont boot up, flashes to blue screen after hp blue screen and restarts. no option for safe mode either

A Blue Screen is more time than not indicative of a driver issue or some hardware issue. First of all when it boots to the screen that shows Safe Mode and the other options, scroll down and see if there is an option to Stop or Disable Automatic Restart on Boot. This will stop the screen from restarting itself when the blue screen appears and give you a chance to read and see what the error is. Afterwards it is ok to run Startup Repair. Startup Repair does not delete any of your personal files. Let startup repair run and then see if it boots. Once again, startup repair does not delete any of your music, documents, pictures, videos or programs. System Restore does not delete any of you documents, music, pictures, videos or programs. System Recovery WILL DELETE all of your music, pictures, videos, documents & any programs you've added since you brought the computer home from the store. System Recovery sets your computer back to the very first time you turned it on after you purchased it. I would run the startup repair, if that does not fix your problem, see if you can run a System Restore. A lot of time the Restore Points are damaged or missing when this happens, but give it a try and restore to a point before you started having the blue screen issue. If all fails you're going to need a system disc so that you can get into the Recovery Console so that you can enter a dos command in the little black box that opens up with white letters. You want to type: chkdsk /r
Let it run. It will run well over an hour and you will notice the percentage of completion going from high to low, but that's ok. Let it run to completion then try rebooting. If this doesn't work, you're going to need to take it to a repair shop or reload the operating system yourself.

SuperMicro superserver 6013P-i Windows 2003 After building power issues, this server constantly restarts. It gets to the windows screen for 10 seconds, then a blue screen flashes so quickly i can't even...

Hello here is the homepage:

Blue screen of death, means you have a bad driver or a system file.
I think the hard drive, is failing.
This is probably why, you can`t start in failsafe mode either.
But do check the ram modules, for fault aswell.

Good luck

I recently downloaded two optional updates for Startup Windows 7 onto my ASUS EeePC 1005. Following download I was requested to restart my PC to complete the installation. Upon restart, I had no display...

Try starting the PC in safe mode (press F8 as it starts) and then restore your PC to a date before you installed the updates. If that fails you must use your windows 7 disk to repair the system or just install it again.....

Won't load up..shows a blue screen and keeps restarting..safe mode,last config.,and normal startup don't work.

Blue screen is usually a 'windows accessing RAM memory' problem, so try removing your ram one at a time.
Failing that, boot from a ubuntu disk (download from here and burn to disk) and run a test on your ram.
Finally, if it's not the ram, do a system restore, or a windows reinstall from disk.

Windows will not start

Have a tech look it over, it could be a more serious issue that requires reloading Windows from scratch.
