Unless there is a wad of thread, lint, dust in the bobbin area that can be cleaned, your machine may need to be serviced.

What do you mean you are unable to pull the bobbin thread through, elaboration would help solve the problem...
I suspect I'm having the same problem with you if it's anything to do with the top thread looping around in the bobbin holder.

Damn machine!

SOURCE: LED display on Janome Sewing Machine reads SP

SP means Spool Pin. It is currently in position to wind a bobbin. Move the bobbin winder pin to the left and SP should disappear.

SOURCE: Download a Janome (Jem 639) sewing machine manual

Just today  i got out my little janome i bought years ago and it is this model.  There was no "manual" with the machine.  All that came with it is a large 20X14 two sided print out.  I can scan and send this to you with an email address.

when you put he bobbin in the holder make sure that the thread is coming out the right way , slide it down the slot and under the spring and leave about a foot of thread out
for beginners it is advisable to join a local sewing club as practical experience is a fast way to learn

I have a Janome magnolia 7318. when I lower feed dogs to quilt it will not sew circles or feathers well. It pulls bobbin thread up on top in loops.

I've found that when FMQing, I usually need to increase the bobbin tension to keep the bobbin thread down (for this reason, I have a separate bobbin case that has the tension adjusted that is used only for FMQ). You may even need to decrease the top tension if the top thread is "pulling" the bobbin thread up.

Janome Magnolia 7318 suddenly started making a lot of noise, sews a couple stitches then jams, bobbin thread tangles. It is clean, no lint or thread anywhere in the undercarriage.

Remove all the thread. Install a new needle. RAISE the presser foot and rethread from the beginning. Confirm it follows the correct thread path and the upper tension is set at the midway point.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, you may need to take it for service.

Problem with feed dogs

Did you drop them your self? If you did it may need a little more effort to push the button back into place. If they were down when you got the machine then they are not hooked up and the machine needs to be opened to connect them.
