Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
Our Brother HL-1435 had a paper jam, which we fixed, but now it constantly thinks it's out of paper and won't print. The green and red lights signalling ''paper'' are always flashing. We've cleaned it, reloaded the software program, nothing. It doesn't matter how many or how few sheet of paper we try in it. We tried unplugging and replugging the cords, too. None of the settings on the printer have been changed. What should we do? Is there a way to tell the sensor that there really is paper in our printer? Thanks!

Please see the following support articles that concern paper feed and jam problems on your machine: here, here, here,
If the Paper Source is set to manual you will receive this error. (See use guide pg.1-10) (here)
REmove the paper tray completely, open the rear access door and make sure there are no bits of paper anywhere. Then reinsert and restart the printer.... If all else fails, you could try a factory reset as described here.
