Does the drum have plastic bars spaced around the interior that may be loose? If so, the top must be removed to access the screws holding the bars to the drum. Are any of the bars damaged? If so, replace the entire set. Are any of the screws holding the drum to the center bearing loose? Tighten if so.

My Frigidare front load clothes washer will not spin dry the load effectively. At the end of a normal wash cycle, the clothes are dripping wet. This was not the case when the washer was new. Please...

A number of things could be wrong but the first thing to check if it pumps out all the water before it starts spinning. If possible, lay the drain hose down, wait until no more water comes out, then put it in spin. If it spins full speed then check if something is inside the pump.

Things get caught in the clothes dryer, in a groove above the door. Things like buttons, zippers, strings, corners of washcloths, etc. It is a Fridgidaire Gallery dryer about 11 years old.

There is a slot for a lens for a light that is missing. That is catching all your buttons and zippers. use duct tape to cover the hole until you can get a cover to snap on to it

The dryer has ruined many of my clothes, straps and tank tops get caught on the lint filter and then twist until they tear apart. how can i fix this?

Purchase a lingere mesh bag.
Put delicate items in the mesh bag (has a nylon zipper) and dry.
Purchase two or three at Target, WalMart, etc.

Dryer thumps when running, clothes get stuck...

It always helps if you list the brand and model number in your post. I would look at the seam on the drum to see if the weld has cracked. (right at the front and / or rear of the seam.)
