Question about Intex Easy Set 530 Gallon Swimming Pool Filter Pump
Plugged in and it is getting no power at all. What can i do to fix it? or do i have to buy a new one? It was working great then it started getting air into the hose. I was able to run the water hose through the pump with it unplugged and it repaired the problem. Two months later it started working at random. It would work then cut off (it is not on a timer) then it would work again. Finally it just completely stopped. Is there a fuse or something? Should I take it apart and try to locate a problem or is this just a waste of my time....I am a girl....I dont know much about this sort of thing lol Thank you for any help!
To start , you have to give details like make , model year of the pump and what it is used for
post you statement again and include the details as posts are not linked

Your internal circuit breaker is shutting the motor down. When it overheats it breaks the flow of electricity to the motor. You need to replace your motor.

Get the pump going and add 3 jugs of liquid chorline and let the pump run overnight. The next day clean the filter and add 2 more jugs. This will get you into shape until you can test the water and get exact needs from your local pool supply store.

Try giving your pump more air circulation.
Turn off pump when not around it.(should only need to run for around 3 - 4 hours on a small (kid) pool 6 - 8 hours for standard house pool
You could put you pump on a timmer - set shut off time to just before you pump shuts down.
Check you pump (when not conected to mains power) - get some WD40 into it - (salt and metal no like each other)

there is something blocking the passage of the water, go through and check all the passages for any kind of blockage

From what you are explaining it sounds like the pump is taking on air, which I have seen when the water level is just a tad low & the pump creates a "vortex" at the skimmer box & air is sucked in. Double check the "flap" at the skimmer to make sure it is working properly (not stuck upright)
