Question about SanDisk 2GB microSD Memory Card

Cant see pictures on micro sd 2 gb memory chip

I had a micro sd 2 gb memory card in my blackberry curve. I locked the memory chip to the device, so the only way you can see the pictures is if the chip is in that particular phone. The phone broke, so I am unable to open any of the pictures on my new phone, or on my mac using the usb adapter. Please help.

Hi there

There would be absolutely no way to decrypt the files I'm afraid. It is unique to that exact same phone (won't even work on the same model of a new phone).

I am sorry to say the files are permanently lost.

There's no way for us to de-crypt or unlock the memory card. The only thing that I could think of is by reformatting the memory card while it's being connected to the Mac.

But, I would advise you to go to any computer store or shop that offers data recovery or retrieval. We called them the Data Recovery Centers. These centers have software that would allow to crack or unlock your memory card. And from the store, you need to back up the files into another card and save them. Then you may now reformat the memory card.

Sorry, but this is the only option that I could think of to save your files.

Hope this helps and have a great day!

Any computer store that offers data recovery. You need to ask each store if they could recover data from your memory card. Most of them has software that they use to crack the encryption.

Take the phone and your card to your wireless provider. Hopefully they have a technician there that can unlock it as there is nothing else you can do yourself. You could also try Blackberry or a camera store where they will have software that may be able to get past the code that the phone locked the card with. Let me know how this turns out.

The sd card is probably encrypted and the files are lost.

try the file scavenger demo
http://www.quetek.com/prod02.htm

see if you can pick up any files from the card with filescavenger demo.
if noting comes up then I'm afraid the data is lost as its ment to protect your privacy if its stolen theres no way for us to get into it without the original phone.

We insert a memory chip into our Kodak EasyShare C190 camera. The read-out informs us that the memory card requires formatting. We click on "OK." The camera goes into a "formatting" mode, then informs us...

Your camera is only supporting SD/MMC Cards (up to 2 GB) and KODAK SDHC Cards (up to 8 GB).
The card that you currently have might be faulty. Please try another card.
You might also need to switch the camera over to saving pictures directly onto the SD card.1: Menu, Cam settings, Chose AUTO or SD card option Press OK
Note: If the SD card isn't in the camera or is unreadable the camera will automatically go back to saving you taken pictures on the internal memory.

How can you import pictures in inbox on cell phone to the microchip SD 2gb inserted in phone?

Micro SD cards for cell phones are now costing less and are holding more memory. 4GB SD cards can hold an estimated 1000 songs, over 13,000 images, or 22 hours of video individually. 2GB memory cards hold roughly half those estimates and 8GB SD cards would hold double. So if your cell phonemag-glass_10x10.gif has a SD card slot learn how to utilize this expandable memory option on your device. Follow these steps and you will soon be enjoying your music, pictures, and video on your phone!
  1. Insert your SD memory card adaptor (with micro SD card inserted) into your SD Card drive on your computer. This should open a "Secure Digital Storage Device" or similar window. If not, go to "My Computer" to locate your SD card and open it.
  2. Step 2 To transfer picture files to your SD memory card, open the folder or file that your pictures are stored on. Simply click and drag a file or multiple files and drop them into your SD Card window or folder. You can also copy a picture and then paste it to the SD Card.
  3. Step 3 To transfer music files to your SD memory card, open your "My Music" folder. Select the folder where you are going to get the music from (Itunes, Yahoo Music...). Click, drag, and drop the files into the SD Card window or copy and paste them in.
  4. Step 4 To transfer video files to your SD memory card, open your "My Videos" folder. Select the folder where you are going to get the video from. Click, drag, and drop the files into the SD Card window or copy and paste them in.
  5. Step 5 Take out the SD memory card adaptor from its drive. Remove the Micro SD card (small chip for your phone) and insert it into the SD Card drive on your Blackberry, IPhone, or other compatible cell phone.
  6. Step 6 Go to your media, picture, or music folder in your cell phonesmag-glass_10x10.gif menu. Select which item you are looking for and your files will appear!

I have a blackberry curve w/ a 2gb micro sd memory card.but i cant store or save anything to the memory card.how do i do it?

Check it first if your memory card is recognized by your unit, if not try it to insert in different phone just to check it if it is working or not.

if not then more likely it is corrupted
