Question about GE (PSS26MSRSS) Side by Side Refrigerator
Kenmore side by side less than 2 years old, I first noticed the ice in the freezer melting yesterday. I pulled the bottom part of the back panel off exposing the compressor. At that time the compressor seemed to be running it was warm but the fan was not running. I went to turn the blade on the fan and the blade fell off. I put the fan blade back on and gave it a push and the fan has been running ever since, but its still not blowing cold air. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
Your evaporater fan should only be running when your compressor runs. if the fan is bad then it would indeed make the frig not too cold because it is not blowing air over the coils to remove the heat ,so it may need to be replaced. Also check coils to see if they need a good cleaning with a vacuum cleaner. Hope this helps
