Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. If it does not have power at all then please check the power cable and try using another power cable. Also check all the cables coming and leaving the Stanton STR 8-60 Turntable. Many turntables need to be earthed to a pin of the back of the amplifier. Kindly make sure the Truntable is grounded and the Pre-amp connection is firmly connected. Please do let me know if you are using the Turntable with the PC.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

HI, use both of them. The white one is the left channel and the red one is the right channel. The 3rd wire is a grounding wire. Cheers John. Styluscity.com

STR-DE835. White noise coming ferom right rear speaker when DVDs are played. Twise the word "PROTECT" has been displayed.

IF any other source plays fine with the RR speaker, and IF it only happens with the DVD player and IF you're using the 5.1 analog audio feeds to the STR, maybe the audio on that channel is **** from the player. You could prove that by temporarily swapping the RR input from the DVD to any other channel input and test it at a medium level.

If it stays with the DVD RR output, the player or the cable would be suspect. Swap in a different cable and make sure it is not routed uniquely near any sources of magnetic fields, motors, UV or track lights, etc.

---

If you're using digital input all that advice was a waste of time to create as there is nothing external to the chipset that could affect one input channel. Try a different digital input on the STR.

Yikes! I don't see a price list for that model on their web site and I wonder if it would be better to buy another table and use the broken for "parts"?

The digital sound is off after 1 houre str de sony str de 485

It sounds like the receiver is either failing or going into a thermal protection mode.

There should be NO reason why the input source (digital versus analog) should make a difference unless you play the digital sources obscenely louder than the analog ones.

If you suspect heat, you should be able to feel it.

Can you verify that the digital sources ONLY do this?

A year ago I bought a Stanton C.324 and now I have a big problem: The player suddenly stops and repeats short segments on currently track. I realized that the ANTI SHOCK AN BUFFER INICATOR is empty and The...

Dust and dirt could cause this by getting in the gear rack that moves the read head.

Make sure no one has smoked cigarettes around this as that is devastating to the optics in the unit.

An internal cleaning is probably in order and there are very fragile elements within the unit. I would recommend taking it to a shop specializing in CD repairs unless you are really capable.

I assume you have verified that the power is good to the unit.

It plays some cd

Hi there,

Well this happens because your CD player is region lock, and you need to unlock your player so that it plays all CD's. check your user manual for the region unlock code if the region code is not there then ask to your dealer for that code.

Good Luck!!

Thanks

NO Disc

The first step is to clean the lens of the player using a cotton swab and alcohol. If that failes to resolve the problem, it is likely that the optics are starting to fail and need to be replaced.

Please clean the lens and update this with the results.

Thanks,
Dan
