I have a Rascals 6 Runner 10" shoprider chair that was working when i was buying it and picking it up from my friend's house but as soon as i got it home and put it back together it doesn't work now.

A 6 blink means the motors are in free wheel position. Turn chair off put freewheel levers in the locked position. You should not be able to push the chair when the motors are engaged. Leave the levers locked then turn the chair on again. If that does not work the motor/s could be unplugged.

You have a number of small LED's in an arc that form your battery display that will be flashing. How many are flashing as this represents the fault identification. If you can tell me how many i can help to diagnose the fault for you. Thanks Dave

Code 8: Controller problem. Also, check to see if your gearbox levers are engaged - if you can roll the chair by hand the gearbox is not engaging the motors.

You can definitely find places to buy colored rocking chairs. Try the rockingchaircompany website http://www.therockingchaircompany.com/Classic-Rocking-Chairs-s/113.htm or you could always strip and paint a basic wooden rocking chair, and pick whatever color you want.
