JVC 27F802 (plug in menu)

I just plugged my tv in and turned it on, and all I see is that the volume is at 0. If I press Menu on the TV, the Plug In Menu shows up. But, if I release the button, it goes away. I am unable to navigate within the menu when it is on the screen. How do I get my TV to get past this so I can use it?
